If you call getting beat repeatedly after intial contact playing well, we are in a disagreement. All 22 shall prove one of us right and one of us wrong.

Let's bury the hatchet until then. :drinks:

in start #2, jones is in year 3. i'm telling you he's pretty decent. many have been beat by hutchinson for good reason, the kid is pretty good though. we shall see. he will have a tough one this week as well. :smiley1::cool:

    Tough one is an understatement.

Myles Garrett is the final boss of EDGE Rushers in the NFL. Whoever is a close second in 2025?!... isn't a close second.

After this week there should be few questions on Cooks abilty to handle eilte pass rushes as he has a faced one decent one, and great one. He faces the NFL sack leader next. Go # 60

I was watching Dylan Cook both in game and all 22...

First we must temper his 'potential'
He was a QB and a Long Snapper before becoming an Offensive Lineman.
He could not get on the field nor roster for the Bucs who do have a pretty solid offensive line.
Teams usually hang onto O-Line players that have any potential, Cook was bounced a few times.

    He found his way here.
He made the 2023 roster but did not play.
    in 2024 he was waive/injured.
He then signed this year and was on the practice squad till Peat went down.

So we are talking about a 4 year practice squad guy.

I do think he has played well enough but what does that say?
I think he probably would be a good quality depth player to keep around but he will always be in competition with any new additions..
Competition is good as you always want your guys fighting for the top.

tampa bays o-line coaches were pretty upset that they let him go.

I am aware of that, but they did.
Maybe they see him as I do, quality depth that step in... that is very important as dings always happen even if for a play or two.
But I do fall short of anointing him... I think we can upgrade. But I do feel he should make the roster.

Maybe. Won't be surprised if there's a legit competition at LT. And he hasn't won one of those yet.

And I think there's very little chance they sign his option. So far we have only optioned all-pros, but I bet we'd option a probowler. LT is going to be an expensive option.

And Jones is still just OK. He did get better through the season before he got hurt though.

far better than what i havve seen from calvin anderson. maybe even peat which is at the end of his career. at least as good if not better than jones so far. i'm sure they want to keep the hype down to get him signed cheaper.
