I like Collinsworth much better....I like his delivery, humor. I dislike Romo less than I used to, but he often THINKS he knows what is coming and then tries to cover when the opposite happens "Watch for a deep ball on this play (then play unfolds as a run up the middle) or...make them think that and catch them off guard with a run which also works.". My favorite Collinsworth moment was when we did a flea-flicker against the Bengals (game Palmer got hurt) and once Ben caught the ball and was getting ready to launch it to Cedric Wilson, he said "touchdown!"

My bad....it was Phil Simms. But I still like Chris better. I did like Simms, too. Lol

 

People whining and moaning about whining and moaning, that's ironic.

I'll forgo the rent check.

Regardless of how it was spelled, you knew who it referred to. Give me JJ Watt or Greg Olsen any day or Ian Eagle or Kevin Harlan. But the announcers in the early years (Enberg, Summerall, Jack Buck, Olsen, C Jones, Gifford, Madden) are better than any of them today.

Romo seems only interested in predicting plays and simply shrugs it off when he gets it wrong.

Collinsworth lets his bias show through. Madden loved the Raiders and hated some of their rivals, but I don't remember him letting his bias show when calling games.

 

There have always been the sophomoric broadcast storylines and narratives. Tune them out!

 

Only thing worse than Romo Sunday was the CBS camera crew that focused on Cleveland's DC coach for like 20 seconds, I like to watch how teams lineup on offense and defense but many times they waited for the last seconds so you couldn't see the teams alignments.

 

What was truly disgusting was the way Nantz practically jizzed on his microphone when he thought Garrett broke the sack record. Then found out it wasn't him...
