I hope he has a speedy recovery and that the injuries aren't more severe than indicated. That sucks, and I'm reminded of Ben's accident and how scary that was.

He might be the "enemy." But I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Well, maybe Beanie Wells. He knows why...

    (obvious joke?)

So are we to take from this that Scott was duped as well or that he was wanting to see what our reaction would be???

Besides, there's not likely all that many "76 year old female" drivers tooling around in an Audi, especially around Baltimore. :lolol:

Scott wasn't duped, he knows about these websites, I knew this was fake, there was one on Ben like a month ago, some of them you can just enter a name and it will generate a news clipping.

Ray must have just woken up after a long night of homebrewing to fall for this.

    I don't homebrew.

I DID, however, just wake up from a short nap after driving 1200 miles non-stop. So, I guess maybe there's that. ;) I'm usually much more skeptical. That, and I took you guys for granted. You wouldn't lie to me, would you? :lolol:

I thought Ray was kidding, because of the reference to Ben's accident. I assumed he meant the one where he broke both his legs back in January or whenever.

Nope. Sadly, the only "joke" on my part was the Beanie Wells comment. Ok, I've had a full night's sleep. I should be more alert today. ;)

1200 non-stop? That's pretty impressive. I bet the e-juice must have burning all night. Me and a buddy once drove from Willow, AK to Hallstead, PA in 83 hours non-stop, and he couldn't drive for more than 10 hours at a time before getting...sleepy.
Umm...no, no...of course not. Don't mention that thing about the thing BF.

Let's just say... next time, I'm getting a hotel somewhere around North or South Carolina.

I'm too old to do that again.

Actually, does getting out to sit down for dinner for an hour negate the "non-stop" category? Because I totally did that. :lolol:

Oddly, I didn't vape all that much. Or at least, no more than usual. Jerky consumption was really high though. ;)

I used to be able to pull 18-20 hour drives without a problem now I max out around 12. I don't know if it's age or the fact that I used to be completely nicotine and caffeine fueled.

You should've just stopped at my house. I'd have let you sleep and fed you something good because I would make my wife make you something to eat.

All you guys talking about driving just helps me realize why I will always spend my last penny to fly. The only long road trip I take is when my dad drives me to Pittsburgh for games. There's a really funny story of me having a bowel emergency in the absolute middle of nowhere(read West Virginia).

I left Wilmington NC at 7 pm on a sunday had a meeting on Monday, planned on spending the whole week in the big easy but turned around and drove back to Wilmington Monday evening because of hurricane Fran was heading to the Carolina coast

    without astronaut diapers mind you

flying is fine BFT but you miss so much by not driving and getting off the main roads

I'm assuming those are Jerky brands/flavors. I'm not that big of a connoisseur. I just had several big bags of Jack's Links original. I probably already had my whole year's worth of recommended sodium intake. :lolol:

That, and a few 5 hour energies / Red Bulls. Not healthy living, but it got the job done.

I do love a good road trip. But I also do not fly anymore. Not unless that's the only way to get where I want to go.

I'm just learning that 16+ hour marathon drives are no longer "no big deal" to this old man. Next road trip is going to be more reasonable with 1 or 2 stops along the way.

I was thinking you were heading up I-95 where you would see all the billboards for hundreds of miles for

Pedro's Place at South of the Border
it's on the north and south Carolina line

I think they start outside of Jax Fl heading north:smiley1:

Well I'm more of a "destination" type guy as opposed to the "journey" so I just wanna get where I'm going. We go to Disney World a lot and flying is getting more and more expensive but I'm just so spoiled by it that I can't the thought of driving 12hrs when I could be there in about 58min by plane. I actually want to learn to fly an airplane myself but flying lessons are INSANELY expensive and I'm gonna have to wait til I'm older. Do you just like the drive or do you do it for more economic reasons? Whenever someone tells me they just like the drive I'm like "WHAT? YOU'RE CRAZY!" LOL.

Ohhhhhh! I'm slow on the uptake lately. LOL

Yeah, saw those aplenty. I never really notice the different names. Just "South of the Border." Heading in either direction, seeing it is simultaneously great and depressing. Good news! You're half way there. Bad news... you're only half way there. :lolol:

The other thing that always throws me is all the "adult" book/novelty store billboards. I'm no prude. Just odd seeing them in the "Bible Belt."
