What's Cookin? whats orange and brown and smells edition

well the hated scourge is back. it's quite meaningful as well. i know i'm tired of Christmas food so will be making something different. going to my sons for the game. it may be time for some ribs or maybe just chicken wings. what you got?

 

Be it tonight or tomorrow I'm planning on celebrating the Steelers winning the AFCN. And if I'm thinking correctly it will be the Pittsburgh Steelers 36th Playoff appearance in the SB era tying them with Dallas and one appearance behind Green Bay.

Of course, T.B. and B.R. contributed the most. 10 for Terry and 12 for Ben. That is 22 with a franchise QB and 14 with the nomads we find. Not to shabby gentlemen!!

That said, I plan on enjoying pizza and beer hopefully watching a meaningless game. Hope to wake up and find out AR plays a half and the second half we get to see Howard.

Seinfeld moment which I'm learning not many on this board watched it.

 

Spaghetti & meatballs with garlic bread.

 

I never watched anything much during the era that show was airing. My kids were young and I was working 3 jobs back then. Plus, I'm in the south and Seinfeld want nearly as big here as in the northeast.


I very much enjoyed Soap, Taxi, and M.A.S.H. Growing up though.

 

Christmas leftovers—turkey, stuffing, mashies, gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce (cylindrical!), and, oddly enough, cinnamon crumb cake instead of pumpkin pie. (I forgot to buy crust mix before grocery stores closed.)

 

Weather forecast is for wind and rain here. Maybe a spicy chili will be the ticket.

 

it's official smoked ribs. baby back and a st. louis rack. oh and a beat the browns brownie.

 

Today will be pork tenderloin with cauliflower mash, sauteed brussel sprouts w/ garlic,balsamic vinegar, and pancetta. If im feeling a little extra motivation maybe ill make some cornbread as well
