Tomlin has the team heading in the right direction but a slip up today and he is coaching for his job next Sunday.

 

I don't care if Garrett gets 10 sacks and we only win 3-2. Let's clinch the division today. I don't want to play the Ravens next week in a win or go home game.

 

Yessir. The sack record is a silly thing to worry about with the division title on the line. Garrett will get the record next week anyway.

Well, I was looking forward to a stress-free Sunday, figuring that GB would take care of the Ravens last night.
Instead I have severe angst.

Yes, the Steelers will win today....but what will be the cost in high-blood pressure meds, prozac and beer across Steeler Nation? Did Derek Henry ever stop to think about that? NO, he didn't. Where was his Christmas spirit?

So I say let's win this today in the rain and let our hearts be warm knowing that Raven fans will be suffering in their fruitless attempt to root on the Browns. May their crab cakes be festooned with blood-born pathogens. (Not enough to make them really sick, just a little sick. I want them to consciously remember this Steeler win today.)

Today is simple: It is good vs evil. Let the goodness fill our hearts Steeler Nation!

 

If they blow this division and don’t make the playoffs I think it will be all time high pressure on AR from the fan base. I see a “mutual” split if that’s the case.

 

The one time I didnt care about Henry doing well in was last night. Im in line for King Turd in our FF league mainly because my team was all over the map with scoring. So of course Harbaugh remembered he had a stud running back and used him as such. 4TD,s and 200 yards later I'm doing well in FF but would have liked this game to be no pressure.

Cmon now, lol. You know better than that. If the Steelers lose out, every excuse under the sun will be made. "It was because of the DK suspension." "We would have won if not for the injuries." etc, etc, rinse, and repeat.

There is something about Tomlin that certain people just can't get enough of. Hell, there's a thread going right now where the OP is comparing Tomlin to Andy Reid for phucks sake. People lose their minds when it comes to this guy. He is either way over/under rated depending on who you talk to. To me he's neither. He's just flat average.

It sure would be nice to win a division championship. We have all off-season to debate Mike Tomlin's future.

 

I read just this week the Steelers are working on an extension for Tomlin. No joke.

 

Im hoping this is the game that sees Stefanskibeing shown the door because we know the Bowns ownership has no patience and they are dumb.

 

Unless one of those sacks re injures our Qbs wrist again, which is not out of the realm of possibilities.
