Would be madness to sell the farm for Mendoza. He is not a generational talent like Luck. He’s not even on Lawrence level.

Rodgers is what they were hoping Wilson would be with that veteran leadership and knowledge of the game.

Wilson was never on Rodgers level though and he’s fake which drives players away.

All of our 2026 picks will fall far, far short of getting to the top of the draft. It would likely take 2 future firsts (maybe 3) plus other high picks. And since the Raiders need a QB, they won’t be selling if they share your view on Mendoza.

Setting that aside, I am a long way from being sold on Mendoza as being worthy of a trade up. These next few weeks will be very telling for him.

    C. Cowherd must have told him he was. LoL. The boy has played two actual opponents this year, and people are talking about trading away multiple draft picks for him. LoL

You haven't been listening to Cowherd. Obviously. Cowherd says this is a weak QB class... Mendoza included. He says next year (2027) will be like the '24 class with more NFL caliber QBs ready to play.

He did say that Mendoza has potential and fits the mold for the prototypical QB in the 2020's..... At least 6'4" or taller in height, big arm and able to read defense before the snap. Compares him to Justin Herbert when he was drafted... not now.

    I agree.

Gonna take a kings ransom to move up for him. I believe he will be the 1st QB off the board and probably the 1st pick selected.

Maybe sweeten it and trade Watt...

We heard the same thing about the 2026 class and look how that went. These talking heads don’t know, they're just filling air time.

Much too early to be talking about the 2027 class.

    IDK

He has alluded to being open to coming back

I would think it depends on how he feels physically

    How the season ends

And if the Steelers add enough weapons to make him think the team can compete

The Steelers wouldn't get much in return for trading Watt.

If Dante Moore declares he will be a top 10 pick, a team like the Raiders would probably stay put and take Mendoza.

I think they take Allar with one of their third round picks.

What is this? Best prospect since Lawrence? Are we serious? He's a fine player, and he is definitely an NFL-ready prospect, but like.... what?

There's been 15 guys drafted at QB since 2021 (Including the Lawrence draft), and its likely that he would be rated ahead of only 3 of those guys (I'd have him ahead of Pickett, Richardson, and McCarthy.. maybe Dart?). Every other guy coming out was a better prospect IMO. That isn't to say that he won't be a good player, but he's not some elite level talent. He's a good player on a good team, but he is essentially an amalgamation of average to slightly above average skill sets attached to a high caliber guy/leader. He is going to be very scheme dependent too. I just don't see a top 10 pick caliber player. If he's available in the 20's, I'd be okay with us taking a shot at the kid.... but trading the farm for him would be idiotic.

Moore is the only guy of the 3 top QB's in the draft I'd trade up for. Simpson and Mendoza I'd draft if we stay put. I like the 27 class way better, especially so if Moore and Simpson return. If they do, then I'd probably have both of them alongside Arch Manning and Julian Sayin rated ahead of Mendoza (even at this moment in time). That isn't even to say that guys like LaNorris Sellers, CJ Carr, Sam Leavitt, or DJ Lagway couldn't improve and make a case to be rated at his level or above.

He's probably worth one of those picks, though do I am not sure we need to be spending another pick on a developmental QB. We have one of those already in Howard (and I am not sure I like Allar any better than Howard as a prospect). We should get a feel of Rodgers' decision before we even think of going after a QB anyways. If Rodgers is coming back, there is no reason to even think about a QB in the first in 2026 and we can set our sights on the 2027 draft.

I am not even considering one in the first round. The third round at the earliest.

Basically sweeten the deal to trade up with a team, not a pick.

No possible way picking again in the 20's that they would move up to do a Ricky Williams type pick dump to get Mendoza. I just think this kid might be a superstar.

So if Rodgers retires were back to square one again. Not that Rodgers is the long term solution but I would welcome him back. And I feel they don't trust Rudolph.

So on to smashing the clowns!

Teams like the Raiders, Browns, or Jets will have a top 5 pick they will just take Mendoza themselves.

If they do, it's not like You just heard from that parabolic mic.
Remember Gainwell is right by him, and can hardly hear it.
Besides, this doesn't mean that's where he's going, just where he wants him to go.
