My issue isn't with Kuntz skill. My issue is that this has been a pattern of behavior for him. Never mind that though. Just look at the inactives against Detroit. Kaleb Johnson was a healthy scratch while Logan Lee got the helmet.

That doesn't make much sense considering Lee doesn't get that many snaps at IDL anyways. However, Logan Lee is the emergency LS. Given how Kuntz was walking wounded already heading into the game, it is a good thing he left the game as well. That said, Boz missing a Field Goal under 40 Yards is very, very unusual.

Boz missing it wasn't just the only problem here. How the snap heads to the holder is another major, if not superior aspect of how Field Goals work. Had Kuntz delivered a better snap to Waitman, Boz makes that Field Goal no problem.

most of the time on third down we actually threw enough to get the 1st down....no 40 yard passes on third and 5. There were a few that we threw short of the sticks but I'd rather see that than a jump 30-yard jump ball to Austin on the sidelines with 2 guys on him.

me thinks Rodgers is being more vocal about play calling and also me thinks Rodgers is the one getting Washington and Muth more balls.

Not only was the ball moving, the nose of the ball plowed into the ground and the receiver had his hands on the side of the ball. The announcers kept trying to say that he had his hand under the ball, but he never had his hand under the ball. That ball got squished between the ground and his gullet. And then it peeled down his body. He did keep his hands on the ball, but that ball was rolling under him like the logs they used to move pyramid stones!

He should have just said.... OPI. The TD does not count. The game cant be extended 1 play for an offensive penalty with no time on the clock... games over

Cowherd said refs made the right call on overturning Lions TD. Cowherd is pro-Aaron Rodgers, but very anti-Steelers and anti- Tomlin. Cowherd didn't mention the dropped pass refs gave to Lions earlier in final drive. Typical of sports media. Steelers were flagged much more than Lions throughout the game.

If, let me say again, If the Ravens lose , I wouldn't play any of my starters over the 1st half the rest of the regular season

I'm arguing with myself if thats the best case scenario or worst case scenario. We just gotta keep on winning regardless of what the Ravens do against the Packers. Beating the Browns in Cleveland can be an adventure and beating the Ravens twice in a year is difficult. I just hope we don't slide into the playoffs on a two game losing streak lol.

That scenario fit my efforts to paint a picture better than space aliens, ley lines, or levitating blocks with sound....... So call it artistic license!

I heard on The Fan that Tomlin is going to prepare this week with the assumption that the Ravens will win. If the Ravens lose then our starters will start the game and then Tomlin will substitute in our backups as the game goes on.

So you would play starters for the first halves in weeks 17+18? Maybe that’s the right balance. Tough to say.

if we clinch and either Browns and/or Ravens game doesn't matter - starters should still get some time. Ravens' rest their starters whenever they clinched, and it never worked for them. Plus, wouldn't we be playing for some kind of seed placing or to determine who we play?

It would take a miracle for the Steelers to move up in seeding.
It would require at the minimum:
    1.Steelers winning out
    AND
    2.Jaguars losing out
    AND
    3.Texans losing out

If 1,2,3 happen, Steelers will be the #3 seed
    _____
4.Texans only loss comes in their game against the Colts on w18

Even that might not be enough considering it could push the tiebreakers past common games if 1,2,4 happens.

Yeah Newton said this morning that the Steelers in the playoffs is like entering a mule into the Kentucky Derby against the thoroughbreds.

The Steelers had over 250 yards passing and 225 yards rushing in a game for the first time since 1982.

Steelers better toughen up on def.in the 4th quarter --you cannot keep letting teams score at will. or we will lose when it matters.

He's trolling. Right after the game he shaded them about the OPI on Washington.

The Ravens lost. We are still not in the clear though. Lamar did leave the game with a back injury. Today, Harbaugh said it was a back contusion. That is basically a bruise. I would expect that he plays next week against the Packers, but if not the Ravens are done for sure. If it was so bad that he had to leave the game and could not come back after a toradol shot, he is either a wimp or it was a pretty good blow. My wife has had toradol shots for back spasms before. Pretty good stuff that provides pain relief almost immediately.

Looked like he took a knee to the back from a lineman. They showed him wincing down the stairs. I don't think you want him out there like that when Huntley has shown he can win games for you.

Defense Crapped the bed and your #1 fumbled to lose that game.
