Good win. We were supposed to win last night, but still concerned with the following

Run blocking is dependent on the pass, snd granted AR played well but i don't expect consistent good play from a 42 year old. And if the passing is not on were going nowhere with the run.

pass rush was ok yesterday but without the old Watt, its not good enough to stop the better offenses.

Given that, i think we have a punchers chance against detroit but would not expect a win. Their offense is better than the dolphins. AR has to have another good game to keep it close.

That would be one hell of a fast game. 2 hours in and we are in the middle of 4th qtr.

    Me too
Myself included because there is no way in hell we win at Detroit and my score prediction, game prediction and pickem pick shows that there is no way this crappy coaching crew can string together 3 convincing victories no way
NO WAY IN HELL I TELL YA!!!

Hate to agree but I see it that way too. I was proud of Steelers last night but that was MNF in the Burgh against a .500 team maybe. I watched Lions go into LaLa Land and play an impressive game.

I wasn’t happy with the first half.

Delighted with the W. Go Steelers!

I completely agree with everything you just said. However, remember the onside kick right after Miami posted 2 TDs on us—Thielen bobbled the ball and fortunately Conner Heyward reached out and gobbled it up at the very last possible second. If he doesn’t make that play, the game suddenly becomes interesting. That’s where many of us who agree with the prevent defense (to an extent) would’ve certainly been singing a different tune today had Miami got on top that ball and score again—even if we still would’ve won.

You do know if teams never beat the teams that beat them from the regular season in the playoffs, a lot of teams that have made the SB, would not have made the SB, including us. Who beats you , and who you beat in regular season has nothing to do with the playoffs.

    I agree to a point.
    IMO
They still would have to score, and then score again..also I blame some on our O for not running much clock the chances we had, but I agree overall.

OK, fair enough. But when was the last time Steelers got whipped in the regular season and then beat the same team in the playoffs? IF I recall correctly, this hasn't happened since 2010. The Sanchez Jets beat us in December that year and we beat them in the AFC Championship. Likewise with Manning Colts in 2005... lost in regular season, beat them in playoffs.

The Brady Patriots beat us in the regular season and AFC Championship in 2016. Bortles Jaguars whipped the holy living hell out of us in the regular season in 2017 and did the same in the Wildcard round in our own house.

So the trend doesn't look good for Steelers. Unless Rodgers can muster some late career magic... it's gonna be more of the same. I don't see Steelers beating Bills or Chargers after getting whipped by them. They are just better. Plain and simple.

I like our chances in a home rematch with the Chargers or Patriots IF the urgency the team has shown the past two weeks holds up, and if Rodgers plays well. I am uneasy with a matchup vs. the Bills.

We would play the Patriots at Foxboro if Steelers somehow made it past Wildcard round. Ain't no way Patriots are playing Steelers at Acrisure unless they tank last 3 games and Steelers miraculously win their final 3. Patriots already have 11 wins... Steelers can only get to 11 by winning out. We do have head-to-head advantage.

Bills could take East... but Patriots have easier schedule.

I haven’t checked tie breakers, but I think there’s a chance that Buffalo could overtake them. Probably not given the Bills’ loss to Miami, but the Pats have not locked up the division. That’s what I’m talking about.

I think they could hang with the Chargers the game got out of hand because Rodgers had one of his worst games of the season.

Again. We shall see. Lots of teams beat the teams that beat them later.
Honestly, who thought for freaking sure the Steelers would beat the Colts , at their home in the playoffs after they whooped us 26-6 in the regular season, at our house in 2005???

Any team that lost to Atlanta, and Miami is not a teams to think they can't be beaten. I have not seen a team this year that has got the past Patriots, and KC mystique.

Those playoffs were kind of a revenge tour weren't they? I think there were a couple of regular season loss paybacks for the Steelers if my memory serves me correctly.

They surely do my friend, but ......
Let's not forget how we lost to the Bills. We were up at halftime to watch the Bills score 1st thing off of a fumble, and then Rodgers being hurt, and then Mason turning around, and handing the Bills another easy score. After that it rolled down hill.

Both Steelers vs Colts games in 2005 season were at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy.

Hmm. That's correct, I totally forgot. Still the other part of what I said was correct. Nobody I knew , thought we could win. Especially before we went on that winning stretch. I believe we were the under dogs in every playoff game that year.
