If I'm going to be critical of his shortcomings, then I must give him flowers for what we saw tonight. Going for it on 4th dahn 3Xs set the tone for the game and the team responded. He coached to win, instead of living in his fears.

I just hope we see more aggression from Tomlin and Smith here on out.

I agree, good game by him but the Phins were a couple of missed two point conversions away from that game being a lot closer at the end. A better team may make him pay for taking his foot off the gas.

Beat the Lions in Detroit and I'll STFU until we lose wildcard home game.

Bags Tomlin often criticized by me put together a stellar effort and had the team ready.

Although he needs to put the foot on the throat throughout the game and not rest on his laurels. Doing that against a team like Buffalo would spell disaster.

Maybe the boos worked and he finally realized he needed to change. Going for it on 4th so many times was really out of character and had a few throws in the middle of the field

Yes, my son and I were talking about how happy we were to see the middle of the field being utilized a little more.

I’m going to say the past two weeks, not just last night.

Can this year end differently from the past several years of “blah” endings? I know that I’ve been sucked back in to having optimism. Damn it….

Bad math. Was thinking a TD and 2 pt conversion would have tied it.

"...the Phins were a couple of two point conversions away from a two score loss" is what you meant to say there.

Im one of the first to say when Tomlin screws up, which is pretty often. However he is doing much better the past two games and since the Fire Tomlin chants.

I wish he and the rest of the staff would coach every game like it was Monday Night Football. Great game all around. I wish we had played Detroit on a Monday Night. I'm not quite sure of the quality of the opponent in Miami. Tua looked awful. Once we showed we could take away their run game, they were done.

I agree and will credit Tomlin for last night. I am glad he wasn't living in his fears. The Steelers have some big skill position players, so might as well use that size in 4th and short.

That is the kind of mentality the Steelers will need going into the playoffs against the better AFC teams.

It's almost as if Tomlin feeling the heat from fans and the media alike, for, like, literally for first time in his entire career in Pittsburgh (to the extent that he may have even felt like his future there was no longer fully 100% secure), actually forced him to be a better coach. Surprising, I know.

Nah.. not even close to his best coached game.

I’m glad we stuck with the running game in the second half but 2 things helped us out.

The taunting penalty on Muth was a joke but glad we got the call.

Phins must have got a call from Vegas at halftime because they had no urgency in the 4th quarter. Aikmen was losing his mind and I don’t blame him. That looked like a team who gave up. How the hell do you huddle up and bleed clock down by that much while also completing passes down the field for a TD?
