The article mentions the lack of ground game which is one caveat but the other thing not mentioned is the lack of Ravens pass rush.

I need to see them do it over the next several weeks but that would be a nice development heading into the playoffs for sure.

I don't know if they are, or aren't, but I do know every time you have different players such as Qbs , wrs, and Rbs, they can't call the same things as you call for others.

    Are they?!

It is very difficult to say. One thing that is for certain though; Aaron Rodgers definitely trusted his Offensive Line a lot more today than he ever has all season long. That is saying quite a bit. Could be something else.

Going to have to wait and see.

Can we maybe point out that Baltimore is 3rd worst in the sack dept? Their pass rush isn't so amazing this year.

Lets hold the party hats for another week.

Like they did the defense a little while back.

Did they simplify the simple more?

    It's been said
    Stack wins

    I'll wait .

The offense looked solid in the 1H and went into a lull in the 2H. I'll wait and see how this goes the rest of the way. The lack of commitment to the ground game, even when they have success doing it is troublesome. Balance is the key to unlocking this offense.

Not a fan of all the different personnel packages - it makes it easier for the defense to guess what type of play is being called. I think that is part of the "We do what we do, and let them try to stop it" rather than keep the opponent guessing. I think the defense may suffer from the same issue.

Agree in general, but I think the lack of production from Jonnu Smith, lack of targets for Muth, and the absence of a bona fide WR2 adds to it.

We can’t consistently run the ball or better yet refuse to stick with the run. We also don’t have enough playmakers outside. This is a bottom rung NFL offense. One bright spot besides Jones who is now hurt the OL seems to be improving in pass blocking.

    100%

Under pressure, Rodgers hasn't been that great. If the OL can keep him from getting hit early in a game it changes the offense. Some analysts are talking up the fact that adding bigger receivers in MVS and Thielen changed how the defense was playing. I think it more of a coincidence because of the BAL focus on stopping the run.
MIA DBs are a much better test with Jack Jones and Minkah on the field.

The Steelers have already had a couple of games where they played well. The problem is that they don't do it twice in a row. When that happens, we can start talking about how they might be improving.....imo

Also, when is the last time that the Steelers played well in December? That is another dark thought bouncing around my head. Same coaches. Many of the same players. The only real difference this year is that there doesn't seem to be any really dominant teams this season. Everyone is having ups and downs.

But, I do think that we will beat the dolphins. Hopefully we actually beat them rather than benefit from beneficial calls or the dolphins beating themselves.

I can't say they are grasping the offense better. Baltimore has a terrible defense.

It should be noted that they did go downfield more which is a Rogers trait. They had better (not best) WR's pushing the DB's and could run the ball just enough.
The offensive line is not as good as some might think, maybe it is not matured yet and injuries, but whatever the reasons they are not run blocking which is the easiest phase of the game for OL.
You gotta have 100+ yards from the run game. It is needed to keep the Defense fresh and open up play-action which Rogers thrives in.
Gainwell is really fitting well in that pass/run option offense... I didn't really see that in the beginning.
Still, we need to get what think we saw from Warren..

The heavy package makes the line look better than it really is. Both guards need upgrading. McCormick would be a solid backup, but he's the weak link on the interior.

But don't bother drafting any OL if Meyers is still around. He would struggle to teach a dog to fetch.

Seeing Rogers moving about elusively in the backfield was refreshing but whether that was really him or knowing the D line couldn't catch him is anyone's guess. It was fun to watch, at least this past week.

On every board of every team. If it works it's good , if it doesn't its bad, and people will try picking holes in it, and even go so far as to make up things that aren't even happening. LoL
I have been watching a team this year that almost everyone on this board says their HC is a genius, and many have said is the number 1 HC in the league, with one of the best QBs to ever play, and they can't even get to 500.
Sometimes things just don't work, and the other teams get paid, and coached also.
