I'll take a win any day. Even if cheating is involved.

Look at the last angle again. The ball is out before the foot hits the ground. The amateurs say complete. The professionals say incomplete. I'll take the professionals' word.

Unfortunately JPJ now has an established rep on hands. Gonna be hard to shake. Personally, I'll take the aggressive play over passive 10 yard cushions the other DBs play.

Well refs did come out and say they got one call wrong but it wasnt the no catch it was the roughing penalty that led to a TD after they had kicked a FG.

Oh well, still dont care :ratbirds:

After the call against Likely the Ravens had a fourth and 5 and didn't make it. There were over 3 minutes left and they had all of their timeouts, they could have kicked the FG and gotten to within 2 points. After forcing the Steelers to go 3 and out all they needed was a FG to win the game. So they have no one else to blame but themselves.

Neither do I, but because the officials also missed pass interference by Humphries on the third-down play. He had both hands on Metcalf before the ball arrived, and he didn't turn around to look for the ball. That's interference.

Don't even get me started on Humphreys. He mugged players all day, and got no penalties. Hell he was completely tackling once , with a arm under a leg before the ball got there, and no flag to be seen.

Rep shouldn't come into it. The rules should. Go back , and watch Humphreys play yesterday he was mugging players all game. Refs aren't doing their jobs if reputation is the culprit.

In an ideal NFL I agree. But we know this NFL is far from ideal. KC DBs are ones that get away with a lot too.

Who were the people you were talking about? I didnt see anyone expressing they would have rather lost than win by a bad call.

I was just throwing that out there.
I didn't look at any name. How long have I been on here? When have I've ever been afraid to call anyone out , no matter who they are, and when I do, I either put @Blast Furnace@Blast Furnace, or I quote them. It wasn't a bad call , it's a bad rule.

I think there was a few fans in the gameday thread that wanted the team to lose.

They specifically said they did, and no , I didn't look at there names. Once a so called fan says they want to lose, I don't pay anymore attention to them, but they are there, it only takes a read through the game day thread to see it.

There are people in the gameday thread I am 100% convinced hate it when the Steelers win. They think they're fans, but for whatever reason, when things are going good, they're constantly negative and predicting the end of it. And when things are going bad, they're just drinking in the misery and almost seem happy. I enjoy the gameday thread most of the time, but those so called fans are toxic as hell.

I’m not feeling remotely guilty. It just felt like your point was in reference to those who didn’t like the call for whatever reason. To be fair, you didn’t mention my name or quote me. Maybe I was just overthinking what you actually meant. Besides, I’ve always enjoyed and respected your post even if when we don’t agree.

I wasn’t offended even if your were lumping me in and that’s what your implication was. The call was right. I was just looking at it from a subjective perspective. You know my post, I hate all the modern NFL rules.
