    THIS!!!

I feel like I’m hallucinating some times. I remember when they had Ben R people yelling on Steelers message boards that Tomlin was too aggressive on offense and defense. Needed to play safer.

Now he’s playing too safe. And around and around we go.

It’s driven by his father or lack thereof in his QB room.

I don't remember seeing Tomlin being too aggressive, outside for the two points, 10 years ago, but I prefer him being too aggressive(like Dam Cambell) than too safe because at least when you're aggressive, you're playing to win and the reward can be big... When you're too safe, it's rare to get a big reward

Like in the game against the bears, I was one of those who agreed to go on fourth down, even though it didn't work the first time... but the second time it worked, and they scored a touchdown afterward.

Unfortunately, Tomlin is too safe on fourth down. There was no reason last week not to go down four and down 16-7 when our defense couldn't stop the run to save their lives... I was upset in the moment during the gameday thread in that game, and the result was predictable, and it happens too often.

Been so long that we could feel like this, actually watching good football in the playoffs and having confidence in your team.

They have so much work to get back to this, most notably the QB position, we take for granted how good Ben was.

We were never remotely contenders this year.

people used to get pissed that Tomlin would allow Ben to pass on third downs (let alone fourth downs) late in games with the lead. Wanted to run the ball or punt and play defense. The way Noll and Cowher did! Or whatever. Just one example.

Steelers message boards were just chock full of people complaining about aggressive pass focused play calling. Or too aggressive pass rushing. Whatever.

point is Tomlin has always been as aggressive as he has faith in his team. He’s not been aggressive for several seasons because he knows the team can’t play that way.

even the Duck Hodges year he played more aggressive on both sides of the ball because that defense was ridiculously good.

They're stupid for those who were upset to pass on 3rd down with the lead late in the game.. You play to win the game!

If we were to lose, I'd rather be aggressive than too conservative like the run-run-run punt similar to the awful L vs bucs in 2014...I guess it's different for others.

I recall the beef being more about early in the game on 3rd and short airing it out. That was the common complaint.
