Tomlin has more say on personnel then most HCs but yes the GMs bare responsibility also. If they didn’t like his idiotic ideas they should stand up to him.

They can't resist old, washed up players.

If Slay goes back to Philadelphia he’ll be fine.
They have a real DC that knows how to use him.

Back to back whiffs for Omar Khan. Not a promising start for him as far as Free Agent signings go. Isaac is still the feather in his cap though. He needs to improve there.

    steeler

I am not sure if the mods allow other site references but Steeler Depot is having this same exact debate. ha
Some of the greatest mysteries IMO will alwayd be what truly is the amount of influence that Coach T directly involves himself in the gameplans for D and O, the gameday playcalls, the draft, the free agents vs the GM, owner, etc

To this day I hear conflicting opinions from the Steeler Insiders

FWIW...go on any college and pro football board and you literally see each fanbase doing the same as the Steelers including Eagles fans!

No surprise. He was cast aside after a part time position in Philly and got another ring. Roseman knew it was over.

And who picks him up? And pays him 10 large? Yea we know.

This is what you get when you can't properly draft and develop your own secondary players. Funny how the constant was a secondary coach.

It's not khan or coach T's fault. It's the assistants. They failed to develop/groom the rookies and can't plug in or insert veteran to play to their strong points

Breaking: Veteran CB Darius Slay, whom the Buffalo Bills claimed on waivers Thursday, is unsure if he wants to continue playing and will not be reporting to Buffalo.

“Slay is honored that a first-class organization like the Bills claimed him, but he is going to take some time away from football right now and decide in the next few days if he wants to keep playing,” Slay’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN.

How does this work with the remainder of his salary? I think Steelers were on the hook unless he got claimed, which he did, but what now?

Slay doesn’t want to play anymore.
    He won’t report to Bills.

I’m guessing it’s Eagles or no one.

If he actually retires then he forfeits. If he doesn't report I understand it is the Bills problem now, likely to suspend or terminate. Maybe they can withdraw and let him go to the Eagles?
