According to Adam Schefter interview on Unsportsmanlike, the Steelers were very much in on a trade for Stafford. As were other teams. I'm not saying that from personal insider knowledge.

 

Wilson couldn't see the middle of the field very well because of his height, and maybe we didnt have the OL to open up passing lanes for him. with AR there really is no excuse not to go there.

 

To me these teams often do that to call the players bluff and let other teams negotiate the contract and only do it if they don't want to come close to the $$ or are blow away by compensation.

 

So are you against playing Howard this year to see if he is the second coming of Brady?

 

I wouldn’t be against playing him, but he’s probably going to fail and will not get a fair chance behind whatever qb they draft next year. A redo of Mason situation to an extent. After they get eliminated from playoffs, might as well put him there. I don’t think Rodgers would want to play with broken wrist for really no reward.

 

Seems hopeless, but Kozora's Wilson video gave me hope if we can find a QB we can get WR open
