On Bozos sack fumble, Rodgers was clearly driven to the ground with the full weight of Bozo on him. He didnt try to let up or change direction. Weve seen lesser hits draw a flag

Looked like a textbook tackle to me.

Rodgers deserved that hit. He should be lookin to throw the ball away if the play isn't there... he is too old to dance around back there.

I agree, but but I watched it again today and Bosa did bring all his weight down on Rodgers' back. Technically, that should have been roughing the passer.

Ok, class, why didn't they call roughing on that play?

"Because he wasn't wearing a Steeler uniform?

    Correct!

I don't think you can get a roughing the passer when the QB still has the ball in his hand. He's fair game at that point.

I could see the argument for there being a flag, but hate that stupid rule.

No flag on Allen was much worse.

    Two things from this play:

1.) Bosa did put full weight on the QB. Should have drawn a flag.

2.) I've watched it several times and it sure looks like McCormick released Bosa knowing he was going to cream Rodgers. Thoughts?????

The Queen (?) hit on Allen was worse re: roughing IMO.

Bring back old school football. This way we don’t have to deal with these so called objective no calls/calls. I miss those days.

You are correct about the first point. There is no evidence to support the second one.

Both plays should have drawn a penalty, but obviously, the Bosa hit changed the game. If the Steelers end up with 15 yards and a first down instead of the Bills getting a touchdown, that dramatically affects the game.

The game was over before it even began. The first half was a mirage. The play may have made the game a bit tighter, but the result would have been the same.

Two quick turnovers put an extra burden on the defense and handed the Bills a double-digit lead. That all started with the fumble returned for a touchdown. Things change pretty dramatically when you go from leading by four and having possession of the ball to being down 10 in just a few plays.

I think a flag for using your full weight is when the defender hits the QB when head on and driving him into the ground, I have never seen a flag thrown for hitting the QB from behind for using the full body weight.

I am not saying you are wrong and your point of it maybe be roughing is valid, but I honestly don't think it would have mattered.

Rodgers still would have been hurt on the play. He looked timid before that play, even worse after. The offense is broken. The defense is also broken, but could be a bit more daunting if they were not on the field for the entirety of the third quarter with no real hope of help on the other side of the ball.

Only 43 total plays on offense and 10 first downs. I think heading into the 4th we only had 6 or 7 first downs.

Bad calls or not, we can’t win games with such an inept offense.

Edit - Add in the fact that we gave up 249 rushing yards (most rushing yards to a visiting team in 50 years).

I did have the same thought, but honestly I'm glad they didn't call that. There's no rule I hate more than that one. The QB's have more than enough protection without it

Bloodied Rodgers reminded me of the photo of YA Title kneeling down on the field with a bloodied forehead. That play also happened in Pittsburgh.

I don't see anything wrong with the sack. In fact, from this replay seems like Bosa could have landed harder on Rodgers.

I do see the Steeler OL just give up and let Bosa take a free shot at the QB.

This and the fake internet tough guy stuff on this thread is all nonsense. I hate the rule, but the rule exists and that the officials missed it on that one was very costly for the Steelers.
