While I did enjoy my Father's day gifts of a set of Steeler's stainless steel coasters and Penguin's grill spatula I got the best present a member of Steeler Nation could ask for starting Sunday night. I was typing a response in the Landry Jones thread when my wife came down the stairs and said "ok my water just broke." Like any die hard Steeler fan I finished my sentence hit post and then proceeded to flip out. My daughter Emma arrived at 4:17 am Monday morning so technically not Father's day anymore but still an awesome present. I started her out right as the newest member of Steeler Nation, she has her own Toddler Terrible Towel and inherits her older brother's Heath Miller infant jersey as his 2T Miller jersey came in the mail yesterday. Can't wait till she can wave the towel with the family.

PS I hope I will get time to still come in and discuss our favorite topics but I will be busy with this beautiful newborn, a rampaging two year old and being Step-dad extraordinaire to a 10 yr old. Ah heck with it who needs sleep anyway. Here we go Steeler's, Here we Go:herewego!:

Congrats! Your wife is very understanding. If I placed a Terrible Towel on either of my kids like that, she'd have ridden me out of town. :roflmao:

I have a picture of my little boy as soon as he was born with a Towel also. Our little Natalie is apparently gonna be born next Wednesday and I will have my towel there for her also. When Ben was born there was a nurse at the hospital that saw me come in wearing a Roethlisberger shirt with a Steelers snuggie and a Towel and she came in the room to talk Steelers with me! She was a HUGE Steelers fan and was gushing as she told me about her new Franco jersey that she had just bought and my wife was like "uhhh I'm kinda about to have a baby here". LOL. But man congrats on the beautiful little blessing you got there!

She's so cute! And looks even cuter with that TT protecting her.

    Congratulations!

No present could ever be even close to the one you got.

    Congratualations - She's adoreable.

I think all Steelers fans relate their newborns to something Steelers related.

The day my son was born the Steelers throttled the Ravens 38-7 on MNF. Ravens never stood a chance. Now he's 5, living in cincy and a Bengals fan. Corrupted by day care. Yes, I need to work on my parenting skills.

She is adorable! I have a 5 year old girl that loves the Steelers. She used to sit in her little seat beside the recliner and watch the Steelers games with before she was even one year old. Now she sits in my lap...keeps me from yelling at the tv too much. LOL

Thank you all for the Congrats and the kind words. WE think she is beautiful too but really what parents wouldn't, I mean really who says they have an ugly kid Lol.

    A few quick responses:

12to88: Yes I have a very understanding wife who doesn't mind her husbands sports obsessions, she was happy to switch to a team that actually wins(we live in MN) plus it also helps that I brought the towel and snapped the pictures while she was in the shower. We had a deal though she had 5 outfits to dress her in at the hospital so I got to take her picture with the Towel!

BFT: I hope everything goes well and look forward to hearing that your bundle of joy has arrived healthy, happy and ready to join the nation. I have told the wife, now she is a true believer, that there are Steeler fans everywhere you go. We talk to them everywhere we meet them in our local hospital as well. WE had to switch doctors at 36 weeks and she was nervous about it but when I noticed our new doctor had a strange symbol on his ring the first time we meet him and I identified it as the emblem of the Galactic Empire I knew the universe was smiling on us. A Star Wars fan as our doctor couldn't get any better than that.

Mac: I always feel blessed that my kids get their looks from their mom instead of my crusty old self. LOL We feel lucky each and every day.

86Ward'sWay: I posted a video of my son from last season where Charlie led the team past the Ravens and he was excited and jumping around waving the towel for the first time and yelling yes. That will always be one of the memories I treasure from his childhood and a proud moment for me.

RayD: Not too attached to my hair but I figure I'm in for rough time for the next 30 yrs or so anyway. My son and I are now outnumbered 3 girls in the family to 2 boys. We are going to lose a lot of arguments lol.

Thank you all again, I am glad I could share it with fellow Steeler fans
