This Season is Over. My gut feeling says he Will Resign after this season is up. I don’t think that Art Rooney will tell him to make adjustments on his Offensive and Defensive Coordinators?

I cannot believe that it has been 17 seasons since our last superbowl win and 15 seasons and counting since our last superbowl appearance. I have been a steeler fan my whole life and was so proud of the 70's teams. But the years to follow were long and dark and when Cowher came through and got us back to the top I really thought we would not ever have a drought like we did from 1979 to 2004. Naturally I knew we would not win them all but I figured we would battle for division champs and playoff appearances and wins with hopefully another SB or 2 but Tomlin has this organization at a place where even if they bring in a new coaching staff it will take time to rebuild it. I cant believe that we have not even won a single playoff game in almost 10 years, 10 freaking years and if Tomlin were to sign another multi-year contract after this one it will no doubt continue. Tomlin could match the end of Chuck Knolls career and Bill Cowhers rebuilding seasons. I did have a buffer when Pittsburgh went through their transition from Knoll to Cowher because my Duke Bluedevils started rolling out final fours and national championships.

    Why would Tomlin resign?

But didn't pony up the cash to buy him out even though he was a horrible OC and it cost much less than it would to buy Tomlin out?

He’s acting different and getting more n more, umm aggressive, or maybe just more perturbed, I dunno. But there’s a difference lately with his responses.

All this talk of mediocre Mike going. I’m more worried about who they would get to replace him. Frightened, in fact.

Maybe he did, I don't know.
As long as Tomlin runs the show the coordinators don't matter. He knows that.

If Mike Tomlin was coaching the Bengals, would Jamarr Chase still be a Bengal?

How many teams out there are going to want to bring in a head coach that chases his best players away?

I'm not frightened by who they'd get to replace him with. I think the last 50+ years is evident enough that finding a quality HC is something they're historically good at, and I'm sure Dan III would have a larger say in this endeavor than meets the eye.
