Help me understand, who is our #1 WR? I am calling it as I see it, DK is a #2 at best. Claypool 2.0. Big and strong, looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane.

The only difference is Claypool wasn't robbing the team of $30 mill per.

Tomlin thought process has no logic to it. Sometimes he will try punt from 40 on short yardage. Sometimes he will go for a field goal try in the same situation. He will go for a tush push from thirty and in the same situation try for a field goal. There is no consistency in logic. He says he doesn't want to throw in the middle as that's where interceptions happen. However you are giving up major portion of the field and chunk plays. There will never be too many 12-15 play drives for touchdowns. The guy has no logical thinking ability. He spends his time coming up with word salad for sound bites on TV and in front of his players just like the rapper Eminem spent his time writing rhymes. Coming up with word salad is the extent of his coaching ability rather than actually coming up winning schemes. He was never and X's and O's man. I have been so done with him for a decade.

I was talking about starting caliber WRs. DK is very clearly a starting caliber WR.

I think he's somewhere around an average WR1 who's in a really crappy situation because no one really cares about guarding our other WRs (who are getting out played by our backup RB in the passing game).

DK is certainly not an elite guy. But pretty good. And because we've missed on all the highly drafted WRs we've taken (so many 2nd and 3rd round picks that never got 2nd contracts), we needed to get a starting WR in UFA. Which sucks because WRs get paid so much (too much cap% IMO).

Even if you want to say he's a WR2, that's still agreeing with what I was saying IMO.

I said we have 1 starting caliber WR. Not that we necessarily have a WR1.

Sounds to me like we both agree that DK is very obviously a starting WR (WR1 or WR2).

I'd guess that we also agree that the WRs after DK are WR3/4 guys (maybe at best re: WR3).

And I think this really hurts DK. More than it did Pickens (who was also hurt by this IMO). Because DK's not the contested catcher that Pickens is (not sure anyone is really).

OK, where is the options for the Referees cost us that game?

4th and 1 and Heyward runs the Tush-Push for the 1st down. Every camera angle out there had it being a 1st down. I still don't understand why it was not a 1st down.

And can Tomlin throw the red flag on that play? We score there and it is a completely different game.

Agreed, just trying to say the emperor has no clothes. I see the posts on DK, but really what has he done? To be fair to him, when you have a coach that is scared sh!tless to use the MOF, it hampers all WRs. Still he looks like tarzan, plays like Jane.

To me as well, Roman Wilson hasn't done much. Maybe it is just our sh!tty schemes and coaches. I don't know.

Pickens is probably the best 50-50 WR I have seen in a while, but even if he was here, Prescott wouldn't be. This entire offensive scheme in incoherent and it sucks. I could bring a HS coach from a prolific program and run better schemes.

To be fair on Tomlin on this play,a HC can't throw a red flag on fourth down for the spot of the field....This is a automatic review

All-22 doesn't lie. According to this guy Rudolph missed too many opportunities... "Metcalf running wide open on deep crossers multiple times. Mason Rudolph just would not throw him the football":

CAustin was the best receiver on the field

Steelers do a GREAT job taking away the sidelines, and forcing people to have to throw into the MOF which, as Tomlin knows, is where all INTs happen.

Tomlin has said that he trusts and follows his gut on most decisions. I think there's scientific proof that people's guts are not capable of logical reasoning since a gut doesn't have any thinking cells.

Welp, the Steelers do lead the league in dropped INTs so Tomlin has a point.

LOL... yes, Tomlin's using analytics to the max giving up 364.5 yards per game chasing an extra INT every 4th game.
