you have heard me say it for years.....

But Rooney likes what he see's....and so do about 50% of you lemmings here....

ENJOY what you watch each week!

I mean that figuratively, of course. I wish MT and his family no physical harm, but PLEASE GET OUT of this organization!

Steelers fans will need to start vocally giving Tomlin the 'James Franklin' treatment at home games.

The owner seems comfortable with his yearly participation trophy and not being a contender.

i have told Jack Sperry too, that he TOO drinks the Steelers ORG Cool-Aid. Too many here (including Jack), think this it all about players and personnel. it AIN'T. Tomlin would screw up the BEST ROSTERS in the NFL.

we saw him do it HERE

Rooney makes more money when this team is "in the hunt." As long as Tomlin keeps us "in the hunt" year in and year out, his job is safe. AR2 is the true "monster" in this situation. Tomlin is simply reaping the benefits of mediocrity at this point.

If you grade Tomlin solely as a head coach he should be fired. If you add in his roles as DC, Asst OC, and Asst GM he should have been fired 5 years ago. The game has simply passed him by. There is no bloom left on his rose.

I tend to agree. Rivers road dominant talent to a title, but when his talent is just good, not all-star laden, he gets out-coached EVERY important game. Tomlin and Rivers hang around for multiple reasons, but both have gotten waaaaaaay too long a leash and waaaaaaaaay too much credit while doing so little with so much over the years. Pathetic.

He painted himself into a corner with all the early contract extensions for Tomlin. At this point it's Tomlin's job until Tomlin decides to walk away imo.

They're both the problem, lets not sell Tomlin short, but Rooney is the one with final say, so I get your point. I am past apathetic (I was that way about 3 years ago). Now I am just F'ing angry. Someone in the front office needs to kick some butt. Maybe Rooney needs an unforseen scolding from the equipment manager or his neighbor or the barista at corporate coffee shop or something. I wish I could run into to him and basically start the conversation with WTF? Why the blazes is Tomlin still towing this dumpster fire? I'd ask him does he think Art or Dan would approve of this hot mess? Maybe he'd tell me something like "What hot mess? We haven't had a losing season in a long time, and that's hard to do." I'd be like, "so that's all it takes to make you feel proud, going 9-8 or 10-7 and getting completely embarrassed in December and January on national TV? How sad. I am embarrassed for you Mr. Rooney."

Not sure how much this team is underachieving, there are some aging players at core positions that are past their expiration date.

But I couldnt be more done with Tomlin. I dont see them eating his contract so we probably have this stale coaching for 2 more seasons.

Unless Tomlin's streak comes to an end what makes this season different from any other season that earned him an early extension?

Hes got the job security of a gov employee it seems (except a federal employee maybe lol)

but hes got to go, too stubborn, too secure, for instance going for it at their 30 was a killer. early in the game you take the 3 and move on. That 3 was the difference in the game. Bad thoughtless decision by Tomlin. Thats just one instance.

A distinct possibility this season but even if it doesnt youd hope the definition of insanity would enter Rooneys head.

Rooney will come to his senses and extend Tomlin for 2 years instead of the standard (is the standard) 3 or 4. o_O ;+)
