The thing about Heyward his game wasn't built around being quick it was about power, that's why I'm surprised he isn't providing any pass rush.

    1+1=3?
    Adding
Apparently JPJ made another tackle today
    And
    Got hurt

Duggar also dropped an airmailed int
Led to a fg right at the half
    Maybe if it was
    Emailed
    He would’ve caught it

Yeah. Playing against a probable playoff team, on the road, with our career backup QB, and we barely lose.

Illegal formation penalty stops sure FG and OT or maybe even a TD and a win.

Yet despite all these facts, some talk of playing poorly. I did not see that.

That end of the half was very disappointing. Loveland made a few plays. And the refs did not call illegal linemen down the field on one of the conversions.

    Also,
Don’t know why everybody is upset, including me, this is the same team yr after yr.
We win we lose. Haven’t had higher expectations for a very long time.
Week to week we don’t know which team is showing up.
    Nothing to see here

Of course you would think that. You think Rudolph is starter material. He proved today he is not

i know that but nothing stays the same forever, even Tomlin’s lock on the Steelers HC job.

Counting the playoff game against the Bills, Mason is now below .500 in his career at 9-10-1.

It was 6 points. No one scored in second half. Mike McDaniel essentially kept Tomlin from doing anything in second half. Both had similar talents. It seemed like he would beat Tomlin with his team, switch teams and beat Tomlin with the other. I thought McDaniels would have had a better career than he actually did after that game. I would favor Miami over Pittsburgh even though game is in Pittsburgh and Steelers have a better record with the caveat that game temperature is over 40 F.

That is incorrect. You are over the top. Example, Big Ben 2015 season:
Week 8, vs Bengals, L 10-16, scored 10 points on 45 attempts, at home.
    Not starter material?

Anyone see if Tomlin got on the plane home?? Hitch hike, you don't deserve to fly with the team!!

Ben had great skill players for most his career. For example, when he started his rookie campaign, he had Hines, Heath, Plaxico, Randel El (as a third wideout!), Bettis, Parker, Verron Hayes. Compare that to what we have today. I am not sure Ben would have looked better than Rodgers. Heck our #1 receiver today is less productive than Randel El.

Rudolph surprised me with that burst on the run that was brought back. I was like 'whoa! wtf?'

That has been the cornerstone of Mike Tomlin-coached teams: undisciplined, dumb football.

I saw that, he was definitely downfield.

We still sucked up the joint today.

Last drive throwing 2 yard passes.

These coaches just don’t have it.

He's old. He's hurt. He's done. Shouldn't have signed him. Noll would have given him his walking papers couple seasons ago.

Lack of skill players is definitely an issue with this team but comparing a bad game from a career backup to one from a 2 time Super Bowl winning QB likely to make the Hall Of Fame is absolutely ludicrous.

Agree. This team is managed as if it were a player away from contention.

The truth is, the Steelers aren't anywhere near contending. They are old at key positions and a Head Coach, OC, DC, OL Coach, Starting QB, Backup QB, Tackle, #2 WR, DL, LB, and CB away.

Looked like Josh Allen taking off and running down the middle of the field; I guess it's good he didn't go all the way b/c then we would have been even more pissed about the illegal formation!

Rudolph did not have a long ball today. But with only 1 deep threat WR, I guess it is not that important.......lol

Metcalf was not really a factor in this game. He left the game twice do to what looked like an ankle injury. Hopefully nothing bad that will keep him out a game.

We have had quite a few missed interceptions this year. Balls just about bouncing off of a Steeler defender's chest, followed by an anguished fall to the ground after missing it.

Punting was not so great today. Had some flashbacks to our last guy.

Our kick returning doesn't seem to get the good returns like a lot of teams do to us on kick offs. We started on the 5, 20 (landed in LZ, bounced out of the EZ so it was started at the 20), 25, 27, 27. The Browns started at the 29, 20 (after a hold call brought it back from the 39), 25, 36, 32. I only looked it up this game, but it seems that this is about normal play for the Steelers where they have a longer field than who they are playing after kickoffs if I remember it correctly. Our average start was at the 20.8 yard line. The Browns average was the 28.4 yard line. By no means is this a game ending stat, but it is an area where we need to improve. Either in our kickoffs and tackling or on our returns and blocking.

I am comparing current Rodgers and Ben and specifically wrote that. It wasn't pertaining to today's game. Rodgers lost 3 out of four games and was pedestrian in Cincinnati game before today's game. There was a lot of talk of replacing Rodgers with Mason after Cinci game in the fan base. Perhaps it's not Rodgers age but lack of skill players. People were commentating how Rodgers looked peak AR after first couple games.

There was another deep ball thrown to Wilson that was probably going to be intercepted but Wilson broke it up. I was initially grumpy as I thought he had it, then in the slow motion I saw that the defender got his hands on it and Wilson kind of knocked it away.
