Watt made a great play to strip Williams in the end zone but after that??? Did he make another play?

Because they are throwing screens and Jonnu is faster. They threw one bubble screen to Muth today and it went for a yard.

Ugh. Was really hoping that unit was turning it around.

Did Slay play a lot? If he did that should be the end of him starting.

Slay had to play because Porter Jr left the game with a hip injury, at least Tomlin started Pierre over Slay.

Pierre played over him exclusively until JPJ got hurt then Slay came in. He wasn’t good but not the main issue in the secondary. Dugger played poorly and overall the scheme just left guys wide open so coaching/communication issues yet again. TOMLIN watches this crap all game and just stands there with that deer in headlight durrr look on his face.

Yeah, those stupid handoffs to Jonnu aren't working why use it twice in one game. I think Muth only caught two passes in the game Arthur Smith needs to get his head out of his butt.

Is this sarcasm? Green font? Or do you actually think a three-point loss is a massacre?

Cam isn't getting any sacks the least he could is bat down some passes.

He had Roman Wilson wide open on a deep pass that would have been a TD but his throw was short and drifted out of bounds.

They rely way too heavily on yards after the catch, especially on that last series of the game. They threw two short ones, including third-and-eight, in the middle of the field with time running out and no time-outs. That was incredibly stupid.

The early deep ball to Metcalf that was intercepted was underthrown, too.

That was disappointing other than that strip sack I don't think Watt or Herbig touched Williams.

No, it really isn't. He reminded everyone why he is not and never will be an NFL starter. They had two good drives all day against a defense that lost its entire linebacking corps and a starting cornerback. It was a defense tailor-made to Rudolph's dink-and-dunk gam,e and he still couldn't get it done. He made poor throws on every deep ball. He rolled into at least one sack and failed to protect the ball on the killer fumble. The Steelers scored 28, but half of that had nothing to do with him. One was a defensive score, and another was all the trick play on fourth-and-short that took it to the one.

He got in Williams's face on the third-down play with under two minutes remaining to get the Bears to punt, but I don't remember him doing anything else.

For all the bitching Cam and TJ did in the offseason both have been completely underwhelming.

The only time I noticed Heyward today was when he got shoved into the end zone on the Bears' last touchdown.

Oh, that is definitely a time to look at coaching. Sure, Austin is a veteran who should have seen the problem, but there is no excuse for players not knowing where to line up.

We can win or lose any game...... but the only game in there that I can see us winning is the Dolphins. The Browns are 5 weeks away and they look like they could beat us too if they solidify behind Shadeur. They are my only maybe given how we are playing on both sides of the ball now.

I think we may be looking at our first losing season and that might be a good thing. Get that albatross out of our heads. Stop playing for 9/8 or better seasons. And anyone that thinks Tomlin never thinks about that (as he says), is deluding themselves IMO.
