When Rudolph can devise a better game plan, block Montez Sweat himself, throw the ball to himself (after getting separation from the defenders), and line up correctly before he snaps the ball to himself--and then makes a mistake--I'll pin it on him. And if his dropped ball leads to the Steelers having to punt late in the game, hopefully he'd be able to muster more than a 30-yarder. This was a team loss--top-down.

If we were expecting Rudolph to carry us we were doomed.

Its a good argument. I remember at least 4 passes poorly thrown that could have had an impact given down/distance/field position. Got to give credit to the other teams gameplans.

The Bears have a real HC and a young very good QB. We have the opposite.

Just got home from seeing my Grandkids and Son. They are up for the week staying at my Daughter In Laws sister's place. My Daughter In Law was out with friends she hasn't seen in some time. Recorded the game so I can fast forward through the commercials and see the disappointment.

And who is going to do that besides some awake posters on this forum! Art II? :roflmao:

For another Rinse and Repeat season  Possibly not even that!

Did you watch the game and see some of the throws Williams made? He is a young impressive QB

Tomlin pisses away our time outs, does not know when to go for it or kick, and has ZERO game day adjustments. His strategy or more like lack thereof is next to zero as is his sideline coaching.

IMO. the Bears HC is impressive.

As I said before, if we don't get at least +3 turnovers we lose to good teams.

All week the talk was how the offensive play calling stayed the same last week when Rodgers and Mason were in.
And then in this game, it changed from the get go, it was run run dink, run, dunk. That was kinda disappointing to see.

At least when we had Pickens and DJ, the wide receivers got separation. Metcalf can't even prevent an interception on a 50/50 ball on the sidelines and where he has a 4 inch advantage in height. He is no Terrell Owens type big receiver. He plays smaller than he is. He is #2 receiver at best. Austin still makes mental mistakes of going inside with 30 seconds left in game without time outs. He is rarely open wide. Roman Wilson and Austin are basically the same receivers and none of them are #2. Mason has to realize that throwing a 2 yard pass with less than minute without time outs is useless. I can see why Rodgers looked so helpless against Chargers. We don't really have skilled receivers. We also don't have any semblance of a defense that can win a playoff game.

The key thing that I saw after the game on the football channels was in the hunt. That’s all they have ever been in the last 20 years. OK, maybe not that long but it sure feels like it

Pickens is playing as the second best WR in the league, yet is playing as #2 on his team.

    DK is overpaid
    Heyward is overpaid
    Watt is overpaid

You are correct!!! We rarely just thump a team. We are just not a good team IMO. To many wholes in too many places. Now Rodgers will be hampered for the rest of the season and I don’t know what’s up with DK. We just need to blow it up. I mean we are not SB contenders or even winning a playoff game contender. It’s been like this since 2016. We need a good young QB which we’ll never get when we are in the playoffs every year but ALWAYS get beat down in the playoff games. It would be different if we played well in the playoffs but we don’t. Maybe I’m just irritated from losing a close game to the Bears. Never mind the Ravens took over first place in the division and they are not even playing well.

What makes you think he would want to come here with these mid QBs.

Calm down they only lost by three and the Bears couldn't run the ball; it had nothing to do with Johnson the Steelers haven't defended the MOF all season.

But in that situation they should be throwing quick outs to the sideline, dumping it off for short gains in the MOF with no timeouts is just dumb.

No guarantees of course, but you miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I wish we had tried at least. Same with Vrabel. I'd love to have him on our team. Maybe neither wants to come here, we'll never know.

I just think those young first-time coaches would want to go to a place that has a young franchise QB.

TTF has a long standing tradition for starting a post game complaint thread. Had you named it the same I’m sure he would have let yours stand.

Technically, your post belonged up in the Tomlin sucks sticky thread.
