    1. Mason Rudolph has zero pocket awareness

    2. Middle of the defense took the day off

    3. Front 7 didn't get nearly enough pressure on Caleb Williams

    4. Mason Rudolph's deep ball abandoned him

    5. Offensive scheme stunk ...

    6. The way Arthur Smith rotates Warren and Gainwell, neither can develop a rhythm

    7. One of the better O-line efforts was wasted

    8. Pretty sad that the offense couldn't take advantage of basically a group of practice squad lbers (yes, I'm looking at the coaches again)

    9. We're officially in trouble as Baltimore has caught us in the division

    10. 1 more loss and it's officially time to start looking at Will Howard

#11. Pierre should be fired and suspended a game. It amazes me how dumb some pro athletes are.

Meaning because he should have gotten off the field rather than costing them the time-out?

The season is over. Baltimore will easily skate to another north title and we get 9 wins max. My only hope is that we finally we clear up the entire franchise but that is not going to happen obviously

The Steelers really are the dumbest team in the NFL. Wiping out the big run by Rudolph because they can't line up properly is just ridiculous.

I think this is the season that lady luck finally betrays him. He needs 3 more wins from this team.

I don't know how you can justify bringing this coaching staff back with a second straight collapse.

    This is simply unacceptable

Is Asante Samuel on the Practice Squad still, how long before him and MVS gets called up?

If Steelers don't make the playoffs I think Tomlin has to go, it feels we are in mediocrity purgatory. We are signing over the hill vets to try to keep together a team with a weak foundation.

Rudolph's weaknesses were on full display, especially the pocket presence, and his strengths abandoned him.

    #2 - “the day”?

The middle of the defenses has taken YEARS off! At least 5-6+…

No matter who they draft or who they acquire it’s ALWAYS soft, open, and vulnerable, when the the other team needs chunks.

So, it’s the scheme and whichever blunderhead is calling the D - Tomlin or Austin.

Nothing changes until everything changes - good or bad be damned.

Or we can continue to be happy with 2nd and third place in the division but never the bottom and be .501 seasons. Borrrrring.

Are they really going to hand Tomlin 12-13 draft picks to try and develope????

Meaning he shouldn't have flopped for no reason and costing us a timeout.

    It's a schizo team.

    1. They want to be conservative, but they turn the ball over on downs instead of pinning the opponent, playing aggressive.
    2. They want to play aggressive defense, but they give up 30+.
    3. They keep allowing points on defense all game, but want to play conservative on offense.

There is a coaching identity crisis. They are not all on the same page.

Not gonna happen as long as Mason and Aaron can still play.

    11. Special Teams were horrible; Waitman needed to boom some today (his specialty, I thought) and failed multiple times. Flashes of Harvin.

4a. Maybe we should have kept our deep threat; not having a real #2 hurts when DK is gimpy or covered.

Not sure about #7---but Washington got owned by Sweat (as did Gainwell), which begs the question---who developed the plan to take on this premier pash rusher? As JJ pointed out---having Gainwell give it a shot was a really bad idea.

The pre-snap penalty on Mason's long run, which was basically into FG range, was mind-blowing.

NOTE: We are 1-13 in Chicago now, all-time. That means we lost there with Big Ben (even before he got fat) and others. So something about the place---the balls definitely bounced the Bears' way and the calls as well (the Skowronek penalty was a killer, as was the pre-snap on Austin that negated Mason's run). Mason fired a laser to Muth in tight quarters---as the announcers pointed out, we should have exploited the middle a lot more. That's coaching (Smith/Tomlin).

They have Bills, Ravens, Dolphins, Detroit, Browns and Ravens. Considering Dolphins Mike McDaniel owns Tomlin like Belichek used to, I see only two more wins at max.

The Rudolph run didn't get them in field goal range, but it had them in Chicago territory with plenty of time left on the clock. They could have even run the ball at that point. It is just an inexcusable lack of attention to detail. That's poor coaching.

Good teams find ways to win these games. The Steelers are not a good team.
