How'd you end up a Steeler fan?

I'll check it out in April. I plan on coming home for the draft.

 

I've been tempted to see what happens. Now that I know I'll leave them alone.

I have a similar path. We didn't have cable for a while growing up as we couldn't afford it. So my brother and I would right up an antenna using a clothes hanger to an old computer monitor.

We got cbs so we were good to watch the wtaj news, Leno/Conan Brien, and the Steelers.

My spark that got me into it was going over to my friend's house watching the Steelers vs Cowboys SB in 95.

 

Same here, and a few colas from that time.

Started watching them at 9 years old when they’d won their first Super Bowl. That was 1974-ish. Never looked back thereafter. I live, breathe and bleed black ‘n yellow.

 

Then why friend do You call them black, and yellow???

My mom grew up outside of Pittsburgh......made me a fan since the mid 70's as a kid.

She passed this February - 1st footballs season without her. We would text every game. Photo is from playoff game vs Baltimore 2011. I got tickets for the game. Flew from Seattle to Maryland and picked them up. Went up to Pitts and spent the night and went to game the next day. One of the best days ever.

 

Sorry about your Mother. My oldest sister and I do same thing during game, texting back and forth. She panics really early. Steelers go down by 7 she'll text me she is switching to Lifetime TV.

Not true my friend. I had a jeep the exact colors of the Steelers, and it was printed on the paint. Aztec Gold.
The more pure the gold, the more yellow it is, although there is a red gold also.
