The Steelers should've kept George Pickens for this season

On second thought it's probably best that he's gone too much negativity, Austin had more receiving TDs than Pickens last season.

 

For as much as we could use Pickens right now... I definitely don't miss the crashouts. Our offense hasn't been good enough yet for me to believe that he wouldn't already be an issue. He's going to have a good year in Dallas (being the #2 will help, and basically the Cowboys will be throwing a ton), but we all knew how good he was. He isn't gone because he isnt good. its the other stuff. I was a huge proponent of keeping him, but there's no reason to cry about it until we know what we do with that pick. If it helps us move up and get a young stud QB, then its a win.

 

You need to look at his tape when he is not involved...He gave no effort....Talent has never been a problem for Pickens

 

He wanted to protect his passing rating to not risk an interception!

Mike Tomlin on the hot seat again today for giving away George Pickens and now not using DK.

Agree with Fillipponi, when you are paying your head coach 18 - 20 million a year you would expect him to put in a little effort on his player problems.



Interesting thought at the End, was that if Aaron Rodgers had not signed with the Steelers, George Pickens would still be here.

Pickens was a problem when he was in Georgia too.He dropped in the middle of the second round despite his big talent...Remember this year,this is the contract year for Pickens,wait next season if he has his big contract to see what will be his attitude.....Tomlin deserve some heat for many things but not for the Pickens situation

But, Tomlin is supposed to be a "Players Coach". That is what people keep saying, but right now I don't see anything like that coming from Tomlin in the past few years.

The Steelers can't say they didn't know what they were getting when they drafted Pickens.

It wasn't just Tomlin that wanted him gone do some research and stop being fanboys.

If you actually viewed the clip, are you buying that getting rid of George Pickens was an actual Aaron Rodgers decision? That Aaron told the Steelers he did not want the distraction that George Pickens was going to bring.
