The Steelers have placed Justin King on Injured Reserve. King has been struggling with hamstring issues throughout OTAs. UDFA CB Nigel Malone has been signed to fill the vacant roster spot. stlrs.co/13cZqyG

Malone, who was waived by the Colts a couple weeks back, is a 5'10, 184 pound UDFA CB out of Kansas State. Malone played in this year's East-West Shrine Game. Last year, he led his conference with 7 INTs. In 2012, he lead his team with 14 passes defended and was tied with the team lead with 5 picks. In two seasons at Kansas State, Malone had 109 tackles and 12 picks. He played his first two seasons at City College of San Francisco.

Paper tigers, just like players in shorts. Can't get real excited about that either.
Unfortunatley, the CBA has rules concerning hitting in training camp also, And you wonder
why players can't build up a resistance to injuries and why fundamentals like tackling
are so POOR. Blocking fundamentals so POOR. Players aren't allowed to hit. Thank you players union,
for lessening the game even more. As lambert use to say lets put a dress on them QB's, well they
may as well put a dress on the whole team. LOL and people like the direction that the NFL is taking? LOL

No OTA's back in the day, and they could block/tackle.
As Hines would say, 'it's a matter of 'want to' '.
Not the Union's fault, each individual player's fault.(coaching?)
I'd probably blame the passing game, if there is a degression of quality tackling.
