It's a feature of A. Smith's offenses. He doesn't seem to adjust to the hot hands. He sticks with his gameplan. That's what got him kicked out of Atlanta.

Tomlin refused to make Warren the lone starter, there can only be a 1A and 1B.

Had they they traded Pickens and a second for Metcalf and a third there might be less grumbling. But they made the mistake of having both on the roster at the same time during the transition, teasing some with the idea they were going to ride with both.

I agree. I don't like the way they teased it myself. But the plan was to get rid of Pickens all along.

Something is off with the way we build and on offense. This isn’t 2017 with Gronk and the murderer at TE.

A TE heavy offense in 2025 is wack.

I felt that way when they were heavily pursuing Aiyuk. Then I began to wonder if they were setting up a potential Pickens replacement, and after his attitude and shenanigans continued last season I figured the end was nigh when they pulled the trigger on Metcalf. (But part of me hoped they'd give it a go anyway.)

Yep, Dallas only offered a 4th for Pickens during the draft so the Steelers waited until after the draft and then they offered a 3rd.

Fyi, some stat sites group WRs and TEs together as "receivers".

Hard to see the field when 300 lbs linemen are in your face in less than 2 seconds

Not true at all. If that was the case pickens would have been out at the end of the season or before DK was even tight about trading for.

There's always a winner of someone let up or didn't run what they were suppose to.

A lot of deep throws to WR have been good. But one's to DK have been off more.

Keeping pickens would have helped greatly. DK is double covered most of the time. There's a reason why his targets are low.

But that has nothing to do with clicking.

This is a common complaint about Smith. At least here (last year) and in Atlanta.

He runs the offense more like a peewee soccer team where everyone gets a turn vs. getting more snaps to better players.

But I guess I prefer Gainwell getting more touches over Patterson last season. Gainwell is at least an NFL caliber RB.
