Jamar Chase makes lots of folks look old and slow. Guess you didn't see Minkah last year...oh wait, neither did I.

Disagree. Point the finger at Slay with 75% comp rate allowed and 16 yds/tgt. Ramsey can't cover the whole field himself. He's not Troy P.

I think they should be looking at both positions. BTJ is very likely not a realistic option for the simple reason that the Jags are probably not going to move him but I still think they should look to bring in someone. Not MVS, thats a waste of time, someone that would actually make a difference.

Rams just traded for McCreary, have no idea why we arent looking at guys like that. Only cost them a 5th. A good man cover CB, smart player.

Jakobi Myers is still a possibility. This by some outlet I've never heard of before. Maybe others.

If Minkah was here, I think he wouldn't have given us much splash, but I think the deep throws would have been limited.

Apparently they aren't entertaining more than that

Probably mentioned elsewhere but just in case, two other moves they made was bringing in Jack Driscoll and they brought camp favorite John Rhys Plumlee back.

Can we trade the entire defense to the Dodgers and take their starting 9 + 2 relief pitchers?

Could be shopping Slay, too. Safe to say that move failed spectacularly. Maybe they can get a 6th for him.

Plumlee was brought back as a WR, when he was here before a QB. Interesting.

I don't have a problem looking around to see what's out there and at what cost. Having Metcalf, BTJ, and one of Austin/Wilson in the slot would make a good receiver room if we eased back on the multiple TE sets.

Yeah, I was a little miffed at the McCreary trade - the Rams even got a sixth back back.

I'd love to be excited about getting some new players. At this point, even getting a great player would be like casting Daniel Day Lewis in The Love Guru.

Steelers Nation is another message board that over the years developed a writing team, but I'm not aware any are actual press. They typically take a blurb from a beat writer and spin it. I don't want to call it clickbait until jeh gives us his official ruling.

Vrabel targets youth and they drafted a safety that has excelled so Dugger was expendable. This is what drafting and developing well can do for a team:

    It is clickbait

    Especially Noah the Numbnut

But @steelersrule6@steelersrule6 likes to quote it and that’s better than his own thoughts

    So there is that

This team wouldn't be going anywehre if Rodgers had had a full pre-season. He has no time to do anything as the o-line can't block anyone.

    AMEN

What is all this trading for a WR. HECK NO!!!!

This team is like 10 pieces away. Don't do it.

If anything try and trade a few of the vets for 5th or 6th round picks.

See if Heyward or Watt are open to a trade. If not, fine, if so, move on while we still can get something of value. Mostly a Watt trade would be awesome because he is nearly finished. Hasn't made an impact at all, overpaid now, but has name value and someone like Jerry Jones might overpay to take on Watt and his contract. We can only dream.

Trade any of the vet DBs/CBs

See if you can get anything for Seamalu (or whatever his name is) and Freiermuth.

Load up on picks in 2026 and 2027 and get this team younger, faster and hungrier...and dump the awful coaching staff, starting with Tomlin, I'll drive up and pack up his crap for him and sit it outside and change the locks. Let that deer-in-headlight bug-eyed oaf stare, bewildered, for a few minutes.

Hopefully Dugger is better than Clark and Thornhill.
