Heyward is a fraud. Watt is good, but past his prime.

 

It’s. Pt even that his is one of the worst Steelers Defenses that is the most upsetting to me. It’s the fact we have been having these same problems for years and they don’t get fixed. The fact Tomlin is incapable of accepting responsibility for this is so frustrating. We’re doing what we always do … throw another body at it as if that is the antidote with the Dugger signing. Tomlinson defenses can’t stop the run and the pass … they can only do one or the other. It’s been like this fora while v

Cowher did way more with way less. I don't think a Cowher led team collapses in 09, loses to Tebow in the postseason, Jags in 2017. They have at least one more SB win for sure.

 

To be fair, the defense may end up historic....

Another slight adjustment I'd be making is getting our DL in better position to bat down passes, and dropping our edges into passing lanes to take away the quick slants.

 

Queen is a guy I wouldn't mind offloading in the spring. He has been a massive disappointment.

Here's the Steelers weekly defensive yards allowed. The trend is UGLY.

For fun, I put a threshold where Tomlin will have to fire Austin. There's a very reasonable chance the Colts blow past that mark.

 

Get use to it because Austin is not going anywhere. Tomlin in his presser said there were no changes being made.

 

Teryl Austin isn't getting fired for doing so is an admission of guilt by Tomlin. Tomlin has as much of a hand in the Defensive Gameplan as Austin does; if not more. The Gameplan by itself isn't the only problem.


Pittsburgh's lack of speed in the Secondary is. The team needs another Corner with some wheels. Riq Woolen from the Seahawks would be a solid start.

 

I think he blamed kicking FGs instead of making TDs. I don't agree with everything the coach says but I said the exact same thing, so I agree with him on that.


The defense needs to step it up. Everyone sees that. Defensive plays aren't being called out of a playbook. Certain personnel, certain formations trigger certain defensive calls. When they do that, we're gonna do this. Think of it like doing an audible.
There is something breaking down late in games though.

 

The defense is struggling.

 

It is speed but it's also determination and grit. This team is not playing Steelers football. No explanation needed.

 

I don't think the team knows what Steelers football looks like anymore.
