Pushing the draft back until May

    Whoa, negative negative!

    As per Shefter:

    NFL and NFLPA are on verge of pushing back draft to May and moving up start of league year to before combine, per sources.

    It's hard enough waiting till April for the draft!:frustrated:

    One good thing about this though could be that guys like Wheaton probably would have all their school obligations fulfilled by then and would get to make it to all the camps.

    This move makes sense if, along with it, the NFL doesn't allow any coaching interviews to take place until the day after the Super Bowl. As it is now, assistants whose teams make the playoffs are basically screwed out of jobs, because many (if not all) of the vacancies are filled by the end of January.
