    YES I am starting a new thread, so tired of what this has become. DC, Head Coach out coached, no adjustments, no clock management or challenges. Up 16 - 7, away team comes out and scores first 3 drives all TDs and a 2 pt conversion. Same old VANILLA defense bull****. Two weeks in a row same **** no adjustments no changes, zero deceptions. Highest paid defense in football and they not only quit but got embarrassed on national TV, prime time twice now. The head coach is a leach and doesn’t inspire ****! Keeps assistants around that suck. I would walk today if I was Rodgers. Biggest joke is owners to let this **** show continue.

    No pressure , loose coverage, too many missed tackles and no adjustments . One more point this team hasn't been able to cover TE's in at least a decade.
    Do we have anyone that coaches the defense.

    The idea of going into the season with 1 WR is looking more and more ridiculous. A ton of bad and an oz of good . Warren ran hard.

    AMEN. Especially that last line. We ALL know Tomlin is a dumpster fire of a HC and should be a DB coach on a high school JV team. Overpaid by like $50 million or something.

    Rooney is now the turd in the punch bowl. He doesn't give a RATS ARSE about winning a playoff game again. DOES NOT CARE. He is not like the past Rooney's, he's all business and no passion.

    If he does not fire Tomlin and clean house this coming off-season, he seals it as one of the 5 worst ownership groups in the NFL...and the only one of those 5 still trending downward.

    Steelers coaching, which is a stretch just saying it, is embarrassing and abysmal. The players might not be all that, sure, but I haven't seen a coaching staff get so little out of so much in over a decade...and I am including ALL football, pro, college both.

    Do they have Terrible Bags? I need something to cover my head when I next go to a game. Maybe one of those Bengal head bags, painted gold? Maybe I'll stitch together two terrible towels and put a picture of bug-eyes Tomlin on it next to a sh*t emoji.

    I said last year the oline coach and the defense dive coordinator had to go. We have done nothing but invest in pedigree for the offensive line and the defense. How many new bodies do we have to throw at these issues with the same results? All the money wasted and talent wasted because of a weak owner and a prideful head coach.

    ‘it’s only gonna get worse and more conservative on defense with Elliot out as we have no safeties at this point. The other issue is we have no speed on the back end of the defense. We can’t keep adding aging veterans to the roster at skill positions where speed matters and expect those guys to produce. These guys have all lost a step.

    ‘Tomlin plays these guys and positions them as if they are still stars but they aren’t. You can’t etc-ect Ramsey and Slay to produce like they used too. We have backups at safety. The defensive line and the devs aren’t producing. The ilb’s aren’t being used right and they aren’t being coached. They lack instinct and fundamentals to their game.

    This is the part that's been getting to me for a long time, years in fact. Tomlin preaches "we just need to execute better" as if that would justify not scheming and confusing the offense. Deception is (supposed to be) part of the game, why wouldn't you use every advantage including execution AND deception. People have been saying for years the Steelers defense is predictable, and teams have shown it to be true by taking advantage of it, so while perfect execution would be fantastic, add other advantages and schemes with it or you get what's happening now.

    Tomlin and his garbage staff have been banging their heads into the same wall for the past decade +. When I spend money for entertainment, I don't want to be pissed off and feel like crap at the end. I used to look forward to coming to Pittsburgh every year for a game but I've become so ambivalent toward Mike Tomlin and any team he coaches that I'm no longer willing to spend my entertainment dollars on this shîtshow. Can you imagine going to a concert or show and leaving feeling like this when it was over? You would probably want your money back and at the least, likely wouldn't buy their tickets again. Especially if you felt that the artist didn't give a crap that you were even there. I'm done putting money in Rooney's pocket for entertainment until he wakes the f#$% up and decides to deliver something that is actually entertaining and doesn't make me feel like I'm wasting my time and money. Crappy way to start the week after another typical showing on Sunday that has become all too common with Tomlin leading the band.

    I love the implication that the game plan is perfect, but he can't MAKE the players execute it up to his standards. It's never that his plan sucked and they executed it perfectly.

    I've grown so very weary of seeing and hearing this man. His whole persona has gotten so tired.

    I quit going to see some of my favorite bands because halfway through the show they go off on about a 2 minute diatribe of political nonsense. Our family goes to at least one away Steelers game every season. This tradition is unfortunately ending this year. I don’t want to waste my money on this terrible product anymore until drastic necessary changes have been made.

    If I'm gonna spend $5K.... I wouldn't spend it on a Steelers game. With the advent of flat-panel HD TVs... I'd rather sit in my living room and watch the game. After parking, motel, tickets, concessions, etc....for a 3 hour game to likely watch the team get their asses handed to them is not worth it in any sense. A ski trip to Colorado or Vancouver would be more bang for the buck.

    That statement is the ultimate in arrogance. I have always hated it, because he is clearly pointing the finger at the players everytime he makes that statment and takes no ownership or places no blame on himself or the rest of the coaches. IM just happy that the national media is finally starting to recognize what local fans have been saying for years.

    2. Prostitution is not yet legal in my state
    3. Traveling to Nevada from Mid Atlantic States is expensive by air and takes 2 days driving by car

    We have more than a few issues, but pass defense is the worst IMO.

    In 5 games out of 7, the Steelers have given up more yards passing than the top passing team in the NFL is averaging. That is a major major problem.

    Thru week 8, the Steelers have given the best passing game of the year to Darnold, Wentz, Gabriel, Flacco and Love. 5 out of 7 QBs we have played had their best game of the year vs the Steelers. We have only played what I would consider 3 solid QBs and that would be Darnold, Maye and Love. We have yet to play any of the top passing teams.

    =============
    Steelers pass yards allowed in 2025:

    Jets 218 vs Justin Fields who is now benched for terrible performance

    Seahawks 295 vs Sam Darnold. This is tied for his season high (295 vs Jags too)

    Patriots 268 vs Drake Maye who is a second year QB. This is slightly above his average of 253 on the season.

    Vikings 350 vs Carson Wentz who is bouncing around the league as a backup.

    Browns 221 vs Dillon Gabriel who is a rookie thrust into the roll after the Browns did who knows what at the QB position. This was his best game of the year so far.

    Bengals 342 vs Joe Flacco who is bouncing around the league as a backup.

    Packers 360 vs Jordan Love. This was his best game of the year.

    =============

    2025 stats. Average pass yards per game by team. Top and bottom 5:

    1 Dallas 263.8
    2 San Francisco 259.3
    3 LA Rams 256.7
    4 LA Chargers 255.4
    5 Indianapolis 250.9

    28 Baltimore 182.3
    29 Carolina 179.5
    30 Cleveland 174.0
    31 Tennessee 168.4
    32 NY Jets 156.5
    ============

    2025 average yards given up by team top and bottom 5.

    1 Atlanta 149.1
    2 Buffalo 161.9
    3 Kansas City 174.6
    4 Houston 178.4
    5 Cleveland 182.6

    28 Baltimore 250.7
    29 Indianapolis 252.0
    30 Cincinnati 256.0
    31 Dallas 258.6
    32 Pittsburgh 273.3
