I watched Weapons last night. Not really sure what to think about it. The whole chapters aspect was completely unnecessary and made me feel like I was watching a series of short films. More than a few plot holes. I can’t even say it wasn’t what was expected because I had no expectations going in.

I usually like Adam Sanders movies. I watched The Cobbler a few nights ago. Not his best. It was like a comedy without being funny. Maybe a drama without any element you actually cared about. The ending was more confusing than closure.

I remember it well. I couldn't wait for the movie, and was blown away when it finally came out.

Sorry, I know it's old but I just watched Kingpin. I forgot all about it but it's a great stoner movie. Bill Murray was at the top of his form. So funny! And that chick in it, she would have wanted me;)

Vanessa Angel. I never understood why she didn't have a bigger career.

But Kingpen remains to this day one of my all time favorite comedies.

Finally watched it. Got very creepy as it progressed. My Lady swore it was based on real events because the little girl narrator at the beginning said so and said she remembered when it happened (?) I just smiled and said OK. Amy Madigan did a great job as the sickly Aunt and Ruth from Ozark was very good as always.

I just can't unsee Aunt Gladys.

I'm a big lover of monster movies. That includes shark attack movies. Over the past week I watched both Meg movies with Statham as the main player.

The Meg was a pretty straight forward monster shark movie. I thought it was very well done for that type of movie.

The Meg2 not so much. It was more of an espionage/man vs man movie. The 'monsters' were very much an after thought until the last 30ish minutes. Even then it wasn't done very well.

    The Meg is recommended!!
    The Meg2 I can't recommend.

Netflix: A House of Dynamite. Pretty good. Shows how 3 different depts. of our government act when a nuke is going to hit Chicago.

And the outcome is not a happy one.

We just watched Rebel Ridge. It was basically First Blood, with a slight variation, but was still pretty well made and was a good watch.

I watched that and thought it was solid. While I think a lot of people will complain about the ending I don’t see how you can say it’s not a happy one. So as not add any spoilers I won’t comment further

I'll be re-watching it but the end of the world is not happy. President decided bombs away at the end.
