I'm going to go with 6.

Jarvis Jones, Le'Veon Bell, Markus Wheaton, Shamarko Thomas, Landry Jones are locks in my opinion.

I think the 6th spot will be either Terry Hawthorne or Vince Williams... more likely Hawthorne.

Is Golic there from a talent perspective, or from a "heart" perspective? I haven't actually seen him play, but at the same time the reports don't seem too promising...

I think he's there based on O-line depth. Really want to see what "Embernasty" does in camp!

Little of both I suppose. He's a good run blocker and versatile, can play center and guard and has the type of athleticism that our new line coach likes. He'd just be for depth but Embernat is someone I am excited to see what he can do, I think he can compete for a starting job.

I will only comment on the DRAFTED rookies...

I can see them all making it...except for the DE Williams I think (but even he could, but I'm not seeing it)...the next in line that may not make it is the 2nd WR they took...Brown I think it was.

I think Brown makes it, I could be wrong but i think he was L. Jones fave target this year at OU.. On i side not i read where Reggy Dunn has been a Steelers fan all his life, aparently his dad was friends with Louis Lipps when he was a child. so i will be rooting for him to make the team.. The story is on the main page prty good read...

i think ferrell has a good chance of sticking. maybe madsen too. woods is another guy to not overlook. i do think justin brown makes it. cotchery and plax will have their work cut out. all our new receivers will help the run game. they are good blockers too. we needed that. it should make for a fun preseason this year, and some tough cuts.

I want to say Brown makes it but I just don't know if the Steelers will have the cajones to do it, I think they will go experience. I personally would put Jones on the roster, I think AB, Sanders and Plax/Cotch (whichever one they keep) would be enough experience to rely on. I could see Plax being the odd man out.

    do you mean brown?

they could save about a mil. by cutting cotchery. keeping them around all preseason could help in camp, but i think with the expierience of our new wr coach, we could get by with just one of them. i'd cut plax though instead of cotchery. i think cotch could even be signed for an additional year next year. he doesn't have a ton of milage on him.

According to some reports, we're going to be adding Steve Breaston to the mix too after June 1st.

Yep, I meant Brown. Yeah, I think just on age alone, Plax would be the one cut, and Brown is a big target too which negates another reason to keep Plax around.

If they do that and put Brown on the roster, then both Plax and Cothery are gone.

most of our draft class will make the 53 man roster, with nick Williams making the practice squad and brown being the odd man out........ I haven't seen enough of our undrafted f.a.'s to make an assessment as of yet

i think they will need all they can get for next year. brown is their size man for the future hopefully. if he shows anything, they should keep him. woods too. he had 61 catches last year but with austin and baily, he was the forgotten guy. well forgotten with 61 catches. moye was at penn state with brown too. he's another pretty good big target we haven't seen yet. breaston really puzzles me. i think cotchery is as good as breaston.

i'm pretty happy with our udfa's and draft picks. they needed a homerun with this group and i think they accomplished that.

i'm not expecting an undefeated season this year or anything, because we have alot to bring together. new players, new coaches, alot of different faces. it does seem like a step in the right direction.
