I nearly threw up when they ran that play at that point in the game. Warren had an open field in front of him which would have been a big gain. Rodger’s body language was seemingly why are you pitching it back to me? It looked like middle school football out there at times last night.

They should have put the Bengals away in the first quarter and let them hang around long enough to where they gave the game away. None of the squads played in the second quarter. Too many mistakes. That's another game that should have been won. Tomlin's TNF record is intact.

The offense was actually good and played it's best game of the year, IMO. It was great to see Warren go over 100 yards and Frieiermuth get involved. Metcalf was disappointing, but there were a couple of good plays by Roman Wilson.

The defense totally crapped the bed and this does not bode well for the next 3 games. Packers, Colts and Chargers can move the ball just as good as Bengals did.

"Steelers in Shambles" is just a wee bit extreme at this point.

On top of that, the Bengals get the Jets and Bears before their bye. Bears might not be that easy of a win, but their confidence has to be way up after that win.

I have no problem with him calling out his own players. I imagine he might be rethinking coming to this Tomlin coached clown factory.

Bengals are for real. Flacco is good enough to get the ball to Chase, Higgins and Fant consistently. The Bengals RB also gashed the Steelers D and ended up with more yards than Warren who had a good night. Burrow is better than Flacco, but there's not much dropoff if the Bengals O line continues to be successful in pass protection.

There is a very real possibility that after the next 3 games the Steelers and Ravens are 4-5 and the Bengals are in first place at 5-4.

I really wanted to be 5-1 headed into the next 3. I figured if we only won 1 of them we'd still be 6-3 after 9 games which would be decent.

Green Bay in the Burgh will be telling for rest of season.

The offense did its job overall, but they were incredibly sloppy in the first half. They had every opportunity to blow the Bengals off the field, but failed to do so because of stupid mistakes like the one in the OP.

So the newly acquired DBs were brought in for this exact moment?

The Bengals Oline has been a disaster all season long but for some reason Tomlin decided not to attack it with disguised blitz packages. Tomlin made it clear earlier in the week and proved it last night that he is scared of Joe Flacco.

That is how it seemed. They had a couple of good blitz packages that worked, but didn't use then nearly often enough. They should have attacked on every third down. Dropping everyone in zone never worked all night. The defense needed to rely on making big plays, which meant attacking and they didn't do it.

From what I saw Rodgers audibled out of the flea flicker and Warren screwed up. The run game was working and Warren had room to maneuver there if he kept the ball. The whole game turned on that play.

It was just one of many, many mistakes. I think you are overestimating the impact of that particular play.

And in his after game presser he blames the turnovers! Not the non historic defense. That's what a narcissist does.

    Can't leave out Grabby Jr.
