I think this is one of the dumbest suggestions. AJ is disgruntled. Highsmith is fine, and I haven't heard pat crying.

Also AJ would be just as mad here, because he's not going to get as many targets, due to DK on the team.

We need someone that's just a #2 that runs slants.

I could only see that working out for us if we plan to transition to a much more pass heavy offense. I think we know that’s not happening.

Another reason is, I don't think Rodgers has the arm for it.

The problem with these articles is that it is ok to speculate and really what could we talk about but speculation but even a reputable site like CBS isn't immune to making clickbait bs because this will be framed for Google searches as Blockbuster trade send elite wr to Steelers. Not the real subject of here are three trades the Steelers could make that addresses immediate needs.

I say yes, make this trade if possible. Highsmith has become an expensive cap player and one who has become less relevant with the emergence of Herbig.

Brown is a WR. He is better much better than Austin and will give our offense a very good receiver. With either him or DK getting single coverage... :) they will rip up NFL defenses.

I think Highsmith could be a potential asset to be traded, especially with his contract and the emergence of Herbig. I wouldn’t want AJ Brown though.

I think we should keep Muth. I know we have a lot of TEs, but I like the options of all three sometimes being on the field together at times or different combinations at other times.

I am gonna need a capologist to explain who is responsible for the $170M in cap hits for Brown. Do we need two $30M WRs as they approach the age of 30?

I doubt either team is even considering this.

Then again, I wake up in a bizarro world every Sunday to watch Aaron Rodgers throw to DK Metcalf. So I guess anything is possible.

The Eagles don't need either of the guys they would be getting in this trade scenario. Although, I think they would make the trade just to get rid of Brown.

Trade Highsmith? Sure. For Brown? No way. Draft picks only. This team is in rebuild mode whether the Steelers want to admit it or not.

DJ Moore would be a much more appeasing option. A third and a fifth for him?! I wouldn't mind taking that.

That said, even if that were the case, at some point in time in the very near future, the team needs to decide whether or not Roman Wilson is going to have a future here. He did see an uptick in snaps against Cleveland. Perhaps he can again against Cincinnati.

Brown is reported to have a 43 million dead cap hit for the Eagles if traded before June, not going to happen he wouldn't be happy with the Steelers either.

There has been some calls.... Some of the trade options mentioned here are true.
I would speculate it is 1 player for 1 player... maybe late picks.
Other than that, I think the price is too high for Omar.

No doubt Brown could help, but that's way too much to surrender in return. It would also make the Pickens trade look horrible, that they had to give up the pick they got for him and two players.

At 4-1 with a huge opportunity to make a big lead even greater this weekend the rebuild mode shouldn’t be a thought. With Aaron Rodgers leading the way the time to get serious is right now. I don’t think this trade would happen but the Steelers must explore a better WR2 option.
