    https://www.steelernation.com/2025/10/08/steelers-mason-rudolph-obvious-frustration

If you don't want to read the article here are the cliffnotes. This guy writes a whole piece based off a story he heard from Kaboly about a statement made to Rudolph. Rudolph responded with a look. That's it, that's all there is. Kaboly says it was a conversation but doesn't have Mason saying anything and this guy writes a page of drivel about Mason being frustrated that he could be starting for any on the other AFC north squads.

Quite possibly the most written without any substance I've ever read.

The glare could have meant I play for the Steelers, thats all Im focusing on and you should know better than to ask questions like that.

    Or

Could have been, yes, could be starting for one of them and I was supposed to be starting here.

Im more interested in whether any teams have reached out for a possible trade of if the Steelers have shopped him.

I'm still waiting for the actual frustration to be made known. I mean we can infer but there is no actual articulation.

I think at this point in his career, Mason knows, or at least should know, he’s a backup QB.

There is a clickbait guy who does exactly this named Noah Strackbein

And we have a poster here who listens to his misquoted gibberish and then misquotes the misquote and posts it here

Some people should not be allowed to vote

Mason is getting paid $8M to be a backup

    I think he is happy

He also would have known AR was coming and signed a 2 year contract so he knew he was signing a backup contract

I’m not sure which is more alarming, the number of inaccuracies on social media or the number of people that actually believe the nonsense.

Agreed. Rudolph has an amazing attitude. Most ex QBs would tell the Steelers front office to stick there offer. Instead Rudolph put his ego aside and really wanted to play in Pittsburgh. The question Kaboly asked may have bothered him because he is loyal and of good character. Not like some other QBs we have had here. He is full of gratitude and 8 Mill is a very sweet deal.

The second half is the scary part

Half the population has an IQ under 100

We have several posters here who post other people’s thoughts because they are incapable of their own

I have relatives on my wife’s side who believe the most ridiculous things they read on the internet and then regurgitate it as gospel truth

Is Rudolph better than Dillon Gabriel, Joe Flacco and Cooper Rush? Yes. Are the Steelers as stupid as the Bengals to trade their backup to a divisional rival? Hell no.

I would assume with nothing behind Mason, the Steelers are not going to offer him in any trades.

Right now we have both Will Howard and Skylar Thompson on IR.

If you never heard of the guy, google Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German philospher from the 1800's who had this to say about stupid people:

‘Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented by use of force. Evil always carries within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease. Against stupidity we are defenseless. Neither protests nor the use of force accomplish anything here; reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one’s prejudgment simply need not be believed- in such moments the stupid person even becomes critical – and when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental. In all this the stupid person, in contrast to the malicious one, is utterly self-satisfied and, being easily irritated, becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater caution is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons, for it is senseless and dangerous."

Strangely enough this made me think of two posters and their false beliefs regarding Kenny running from competition and George Pickens the cancer

George Carlin once said. "Think of how stupid the average person is, then realize half of them are stupider than that."

IQ is a dubious measure, but the overall point is correct. I suggest no one click on the post in the OP. If you think a post is clickbait nonsense, perhaps it isn't wise to share it and give the person who wrote it more clicks. Just an idea.

Rudolph isn't going anywhere, at least not while Thompson is out.

I'm amazed at how some folks buy into clickbait. Even better are the folks who complain about some clickbait stories, but insist we trust others.

Last I heard Howard is ready to come off of IR but I was making more of a general statement before the trade deadline will they try to move Rudolph.
