i do not see that sort of thing happening this year with some actual leadership on offense. that roster was full of a bunch of crazies and soon-to-be nobodys

True...Overall those players(I include a RB like Shaun Alexander in 2005)are 1-9 in the super bowl.

Other players like Manning and McNair in 2003, 2004 for Manning again, Mahomes in 2018, Lamar in 2023 or Rodgers in 2011 and 2020 lost against the future super bowl champions too

The Browns have traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals. The Browns also sending a 6th round pick and getting back a 5th from the Bengals. The Browns are going forward with the 2 rookies as QB.

Are the remains of Joe Flacco really any better than Browning?

I thought you were kidding. I mean, you had to be kidding, right? There's no way in hell that could happen.
But danged if you weren't kidding.

I think Flacco can still throw the ball deep, with their receiving corp the Bengals are better now than they were with Browning.

I saw that. I wonder if he could be the first QB to start at QB on both sides of a divisional season series.

I just looked it up to satisfy my curiosity and using AI I found out that it has never happened before. Funny enough though, when I asked at first I got the answer Josh McCown 2014 with Tampa and Carolina. I then looked it up and it never happened - in 2014 McCown started for the Bucs, got injured, then returned later in the season. He played for Carolina a few years earlier. Moral of the story: If you use ChatGPT or any other AI beware and double check. I try to think of it as my incompetent assistant.

Not much better Browning has 8 interceptions while Flacco has 6.

And you were saying my friend? If I had followed my own speculation, I would've picked the Jags after the other Week 5 games.

Strange indeed. Kind of like when Aaron Rodgers wins the SB for a team he beat in the SB;)

Ravens signing CJ Gardner-Johnson. I mean, what could go wrong with picking up a guy who was released by the team that just beat you after only 3 games because he's a cancer?

Having ponder this a bit more, the Browns were smart to trade Flaccid. They know his weaknesses. They know what he can and can't do so it should be an easy W the next time they play the Bengals. Plus, the Browns were not going to resign Flaccid next season so they pick up a better pick in the draft for a guy that won't be around.

This also makes Shadeur Sanders the #2 QB with the Browns. Did not think I would see that this year. Is Daddy Sanders pulling a Tonya Harding on the competition or something?

It does mean that the Browns now have a rookie starting QB who has started a single game, 37 total pass attempts in the NFL and 209 total yards of passing in his career as an NFL QB.

We play the Browns in week 6 and week 17. We might get a chance to see Sanders as QB. If Dillon glitches, they could easily roll into the 'lets see' with Sanders. I would love to see another 6+ sack game if that happens. :)

In addition, the Ravens just traded Odafe Owah to the Chargers for Alohi Gilman, another safety. It's looking like Kyle Hamilton's injury may be more serious than it first seemed.

I've said this before, but I've asked AI the same question 10 times, and got a few different answers.

Browning has been decent for them in the past. I'm wondering if it is just him or if the pass protection is that awful. Flacco certainly isn't going to escape the rush.

Ravens fans are saying they dumped Owah because they aren't going to re-sign him, and that new safety they got isn't good he misses too many tackles.

We should sign Flacco next season to have him complete the tour of the North.
