By doing so you are implying that punt hang times averages are analytics. Analytics are advanced statistics and averages are not

 

Well, probably Boz's call as well. Already down a LS early and Boz has kicked with Waitman holding for a whole year.

Don't want too many changes early. Would love to see him become more consistent though. I'd take a consistent kick in a pinch over a booming kick when not really needed and a shank while trying to hold a lead and close out a game with 7 minutes left.

 

So again, go ask PFF how they judge all aspects of punting.

I only stated hang times because that is all Alex had posted.

 

That could have been the deciding factor there. Waitman was the holder all of last year and Boz is comfortable with him.

 

Goes to show how competitive a job in the NFL is when the hang time on your punt is just over an eye-blink longer than your competition, and you're the best in the league and they're 30th.

 

The Saints had some interest in trading for Waitman per Schefter.

it will be interesting to watch this one. I thought Johnston (he has a T in his name) was THE MAN. We will see if the Coach's were right, he will get picked up and play, we will get to watch and compare.....

 

Johnston got blasted again and is out for at least a few weeks. Dude can't catch a break.

Pure bad luck two years in a row. Hope he gets better soon. As for Waitman, just pure consistency.
