The Giants 2 rookies balled out in their upset win over the Chargers. Jaxon Dart won his starting debut over Herbert and Scattebo had 90 total yards.

Only two undefeated left. The two teams I'm guessing meet in SB.

To the shock of no one, Denver is carving up Cincy. That said, not having to worry about Joe Burrow makes the game all the much better. Miami beating up on New York though isn't something I expected however.

Really thought that New York's Defense would allow them to win the day there.

    Alright! Caught up; finally!!

    Week 4 takeaways.

    - Sam Darnold is playing out of his mind. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Dude is becoming more and more legit every week. That said, Mike MacDonald needs to learn how to close out games a lot sooner. Regarding Arizona?!.. yikes man. Dunno what has happened to Marvin Harrison Jr. He did catch that one TD and I hope that is the start of something special for him but as it stands, without him, Arizona's Offense looks like it is in neutral.

    - As I said before and will again; Michael Penix Jr. will be fine. He will have ups and downs; the same can be said for a lot of sophomore QBs. That said, having more ups than downs will be key later on. Let us see if he can continue. Washington losing is what I'd expected. No Jayden Daniels means little to no chance of surviving on Offense as Marcus Mariota is what he is at this point. Good but not good enough.

    - Jaxson Dart played a lot better than his numbers would indicate. That said, his best asset for now is using his dual purpose ability; namely RPO Action. He can definitely build something from there though how he does without Malik Nabers will be telling. As for Los Angeles, what seemed like a formidable AFC Challenger now is looking as one of the teams that is in the middle of the pack. Justin Herbert is still playing the best he ever has but losing both RaShawn Slater and Joe Alt?!.... ouch. Even so, Justin needs to deliver for his team in such situations; doubly so when the game was still within reach in the fourth. That said, Abdul Carter, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Brian Burns are the three headed monster NFC Teams will hate playing against for the remainder of the 2025 Season.

    - Cam Ward is regressing before our very eyes and a change is needed; like now. Not yesterday, not at the time of this post, now. If not?! Gonna ruin him. Houston did need this game in the worst way; doubly so CJ Stroud. Still, even the simple throws he used to make in his Rookie Season seem just so difficult to make. Dunno why but that has to change; doubly so against a depleted Baltimore team that is ripe for the taking.

    - Eagles vs. Bucs could be an NFC Divisional Game Preview in all honesty. Even more impressive was how banged up Tampa was and still could keep up somewhat with Philly. That said, there is simply too many weapons on both sides for any team to challenge the Eagles. That team's only major enemy is themselves. Baker Mayfield, to me, is the MVP Frontrunner. Should the Bucs get into the Playoffs, he has my vote. What a turnaround for him.

    - New England needed this in the worst way after literally fumbling their game away last week. Granted, not every team will be Carolina but still, to pound an inferior opponent into submission was definitely what the doctor ordered for both Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel. As for Carolina, the search for your next signal caller begins now. It is official; Bryce Young simply cannot play in the NFL. A shame really for he looked like the best QB from his class too. On the positive note?! Tetairoa McMillian is making me eat some crow; doubly so in his route tree. Didn't think he would have the overall flexibility nor agility to win some of the matchups he is but he is proving me wrong!

    - Bills intrigue me quite a bit. On one hand, they are, by all means, a Super Bowl Contender. On the other hand?! They play games way too close until their overall superior talent ends up holding out in the end; spearheaded by Josh Allen. Bills better get better on Defense or they will have an early Playoff Exit. As for New Orleans, keep Rattler as your QB1 heading into 2026. Losing to the likes of Buffalo isn't the problem. What your QB has around him is. People keep saying drafting a QB will fix everything a la Jayden Daniels but people never go in depth as to why Jayden had the Rookie Season he did. Namely speaking, Jayden had an elite level WR, a rock solid TE and an slightly above average Defense. How many Rookie QBs picked into the Top 5 step into such a situation?! Hell, even CJ Stroud had the likes of Dalton Schultz (a reliable security blanket) and Laremy Tunsil (a Pro Bowl Caliber Left Tackle). Drafting a QB as the first overall pick will not fix the severe lack of overall talent that New Orleans has. Should they get the number one overall pick, either acquire the best overall player in the draft or trade down to greatly increase the amount of talent on the Roster. See what Spencer Rattler looks like in 2026.

    - Cleveland holding Detroit under 40 points is actually impressive given Cleveland's lack of QB Play. That said, Detroit still ran up the scoreboard and didn't hold back. Mason Graham continues to make me eat crow while Aidan Hutchinson continues to get back to his DPOY pace. Joe Flacco getting benched doesn't surprise me at all either. Time to see what Dillon Gabriel can do.

    - Jacksonville did win the game but boy oh boy... one of the uglier wins you'll see from a winning team in Week 4 (though there is one much uglier). Trevor Lawrence, as I hate to admit this, is what he is at this point; loads of talent and potential but also loads of uncertainty and inconsistency. Travis Hunter not being utilized in the vein I thought he'd be is also confusing. It just seems like, from a distance, Liam Coen is just using Hunter to merely fill schematic gaps as opposed to use him to gain personnel advantages. Regarding San Fran, who the hell is the team doctor?! For that mater, who are the Strength and Conditioning Staff?! Every year it seems to get worse!! That said, somehow, someway, Kyle Shanahan just continues to find new ways to win.

    - Two things about the Colts vs. Rams. One, Daniel Jones is still having a renaissance season. One bad game doesn't mean anything for me. For that matter, I did still expect the Colts to win the AFC South barring extreme circumstances. As for two, Sean McVay and Matthew Stafford just keep trucking. Puka Nacua is slowly becoming an elite caliber playmaker while Jared Verse is budding into a Superstar. Both will continue to get better and, should they both round into form at the right time, Los Angeles will be the team that no NFC Team wants to play... and that includes Philly.

    - Caleb Williams now has back to back performances and the Bears have back to back wins. They also head into the bye. That said, am I still optimistic about this team as I was four months ago?! Not really. Why?! Las Vegas all but gift wrapped Chicago that win and, even if they did not, there are still far too many mistakes that both Caleb and Chicago make to make me take them seriously as contenders for the NFC North. Speaking though of Las Vegas, you have Ashton Jeanty, Brock Bowers and Jakobi Myers. These three alone can easily a good QB enough for the win. The problem lies with Geno Smith; the New York edition. Poor reads, poorly thrown passes and most of all, poor overall discipline. Smith has regressed but Pete isn't going to give up on Geno just yet. He may have to though if this continues.

    - Much like Pittsburgh, Lamar cannot escape his Chiefs Demons. For whatever reason, he just has an issue defeating the Chiefs. Even worse is that Derrick Henry seemingly has fallen out of favor a bit from Todd Monken. Losing three fumbles in three straight games is never a good look; doubly so as a HOF Player like Henry. That said, the fact that Derrick had less than 10 carries on the day?! That is definitely something worth monitoring. What is worth noting also is how bad this Ravens Defense is; easily the worst of my lifetime. How many more games of 30+ points will this Defense give up. Even worse?! Malakai Starks isn't producing as I thought he would; Mike Green either. The team lost Nnamdi Madubuike (time for return TBD) and the rest of the defensive starters are dealing with aliments. Biggest loss though is Lamar himself; out with a Hamstring Injury. Houston had their get right game as previously mentioned and now Baltimore will be tasked to beat arguably the leagues best Defense without their electrifying QB. As for Kansas City, Xavier Worthy is officially the X Factor of not just the Chiefs but the entirety of the AFC Conference. How well he plays will dictate how difficult Kansas City will play, which in turn, will dictate how difficult it will be for a team to defeat Kansas City.

    - The Micah Parsons vs. Jerry Jones game was billed as arguably the best game of the NFL Season. As far as the overall game itself, it lived up to the billing... though not in the way I am certain so many (myself included) thought it would. I was expecting Green Bay to pound Dallas into oblivion. What ended up happening was the 1093rd Scorigami; rife with lots of Offense and little to no Defense. Regarding the Defense of Green Bay, Micah Parsons was a major no show for the bulk of the contest. Didn't provide nearly as much interior pressure from his trademark stunts and loops he is known for. Conversely, Jordan Love, while lighting it up against the Dallas Defense, couldn't seal the deal in the end; leading to an official tie within the record column for Green Bay. That, by itself, opens up tiebreakers in a massive way for the rest of not just the Division but also the Conference. As for Dallas, again, very weird ending for them as well. Geroge Pickens though began to round into form. Given how Dallas takes on the likes of the Jets, I can only imagine that George and the rest of the Offense get better from here on out. The issue though remains at Defense. Way too talent deficient on that side of the ball. However, Brian Schottenheimer has that Dallas team playing some seriously good football; more so than they have in a very long time despite their 1-2-1 record. I still believe that this division goes through Philly but Dallas can potentially sneak in as a Wild Card should the likes of Arizona, Chicago or even San Fran slip through th cracks.

    - Lumping both MNF Football Games to conclude Week 4 because both were BAD. As far as the Dolphins and Jets game, I do feel sorry for Tyreek and wish him nothing but the best in his recovery. A shame considering like CJ Stroud, Tua needed this get right game as well. Now, the Dolphins won the game but that win would have been all the sweeter had Tyreek stayed healthy given their connection beginning to heat up. As for the Jets, Justin Fields is officially cooked. As a result, the Jets season is cooked as well. Aaron Glenn may already be regretting being the Jets HC though the 2025 Season isn't over yet. As for Broncos and Bengals?! What more do I need to say; the Bengals are cooked and Denver gets the win.

That will do it for Week 4 everyone!! Thanks for reading!! Hope to see you again for the Week 5 Wrap up!!
