Huh  Does anyone have a subscription to Insider? I'm really curious to see his explanation of that. He says our biggest risk is Jarvis, I get that, medical concern but better then Wheaton, Shamarko, Bell??? I will say that I am becoming more and more intrigued by Landry, I like some of the things I am learning about him but not ready to label him our best pick.

i JUST was reading this. Here's the full text...

Best pick: QB Landry Jones (No. 115 overall) -- So much of their team right now depends on Ben Roethlisberger. This organization has been looking for a young, quality backup. Jones has a long way to go, but he has the physical tools -- and with good coaching, he could become the surprise QB of this class. There's no risk here and he has a good shot to make it a great fit.
Questionable pick: LB Jarvis Jones (No. 17 overall) -- The Steelers may have also nailed it with Jarvis Jones, who had phenomenal production and instincts at Georgia. He's always around the ball, making plays and had 14.5 sacks last year for the Bulldogs. I have two concerns with the pick at No. 17 overall: (1) while he does show acceleration on tape, his poor 40 time of 4.92 does raise a red flag for an edge rusher, and (2) the medical issues. Obviously, he has been medically cleared to go, but Marcus McNeill fell in the draft after a diagnosis of spinal stenosis. He became a Pro Bowler, but had to retire because of his spinal issues. Jones could be a star, and I believe he's ready to go. He was picked by a great organization, but how long can he play -- three or four great years? There's that element of risk. But if there's one team you would have picked for Jones, it would be the Steelers.

I like the pick. Everyone saying "We have Ben, We have Ben"... Well, there will be a time when we don't have Ben, due to injury or age. We do not wan't to be stuck in the position where an over the hill, average QB, or one that is a fringe roster player, is what is relied upon for a whole season. Take a kid like this, slide him into the #3 slot, with the chance to move him to the #2 as he learns. Then, if Ben is injured, prices himself out of here with his next contract, whatever, we're covered.

Thanks. Seems like that should fall under potential best pick.
