No one is getting open in time for Rodgers to get them the ball. Saw a lot of end zone coverage behind Rodgers, it's really bad. No one, not even DK can get separation. DK has never really been good at that anyways. It's what keeps him at being a 2 receiver being put as a 1.

I suspect that is a big part of the passing game problem.

What exactly are McCormick and Fautanu doing on this run??? Both on the ground, defender jumps over McC and makes the tackle. Seeing this, not hard to understand why the run game stinks:

I have no problem extending him. I just have no idea why they made him one of the 10 highest paid TEs in the league. Everyone seems to keep telling me that PF is a darn good TE. I just have never seen it. I am more than willing to come to the conclusion I am wrong, but I just see a big guy that is too slow to be an impact WR and not physical enough to be an impact TE. Mike Gesiki with more loyal fans.

None of the OL is playing well, but it is time to acknowledge that Fananana or whatever is getting his butt kicked.

Welcome to the Arthur Smith offense.

I fail to understand why anyone associated with the NFL or an NFL fan is surprised by any of this. He got fired in Atlanta for doing the same thing.

Take that and combine it with Rodgers having one of the lowest yards per attempt in the league while with the Jets and PRESTO! -- This is the offense.

The more tape I watch on this OL the more I can understand what Smith/Tomlin are trying to do. Rodgers won't make it past the mid-point with the way this OL is [not] blocking. The inconsistency is maddening. No wonder Rodgers doesn't trust the OL to keep him up. I wouldn't either after watching the tapes each week. If a player isn't open in 2.5 sec Rodgers is dumping. Period.

And no matter what, with bad OL, and all Rodgers is still tied for 2nd place in TD passes so far this season

I don't think the problem on offense right now is on Rodgers. The o-line,running game struggle big time.Thank god our red zone offense is great right now but overall,I think you agree with this, the offense need to improve!

Yep. Current pace will put him at 30+ on the year.
Imagine just a couple years ago the agony just to get one TD in a game.

This was my main concern with Smith

There was an article about his personnel selection in Atlanta.

“Many of the Falcons’ games were one-score affairs where they needed their best players on the field. There were various stages where Robinson wasn’t on the field or used as a decoy. It took until late November for him to be featured regularly in the red zone. Smith was too fixated on designing plays for a backup tight end in Jonnu Smith over using their most electrifying playmaker in the most critical part of the offense in those important situations”

That 2nd picture is hilarious. It should be one of those guess the Caption moment. Guess what Broderick Jones is saying. He is turned around backwards facing the QB.

So my guess would be he is yelling at Aaron "I am Open Aaron, throw it to me, damn I forgot this was a running play"

Boy did Smith seem to get defensive in his PC today. Some good questions on the (non) use of TEs in the passing game, little downfield passing. He didn't come right out and say it but the OL is clearly a point of iteration with him. And honestly, he needs to go to the Mike Tomlin school of press conferences. The less you say, the better. Smith went on and on and probably shouldn't have.

I think it's because the OL has not been good.

Ben is one of the very few QBs I'd take this criticism from because in his prime he'd just shrug off a couple DL and throw a bomb.

But he also likely knows that he couldn't do that when he was around AR's age and his protection was not good.

Smith is a terrible OC. We all see it, his game planning is high school level at best. I just can't believe big mike or Kahn have no problem rolling with this guy. Same can be said about the DC, but that's another discussion. This team has no vision and it all starts with the poor coaching.
