Why did Butler wait until he was gone to say something, we don't know all the details of him retiring maybe he was nudged out.

Tomlin was the DB coach, Butler was the DC in Arkansas in 1998. That was the only year they coached with each other until Steelers.

Butler joined Steelers in 2003 as LB coach under Lebeau. Tomlin came in 2006 as HC.

Looking back at Tomlin's resume, he only had 1 year experience as DC, and then jumped to HC for Steelers. Kind of explains his cluelessness and "using gut instinct" approach to the game. :)

Again, Butler the guy who was actually the DC said Tomlin did. But for ****s and giggles and assuming Tomlin has no understanding of the intricacies of his own defense that has largely remained the same for the last decade, heres an example.

It’s a specific down and distance situation:

Tomlin: “Keith, what do we have drawn up for this”

Keith: “We got X, Y and Z we can do here”

    Tomlin: “Send in Y”

Seriously dude, wtf do you think they are discussing all game.

So you’re just making up scenarios to discredit him instead of what is actually known.

    They are not.

The NFL just forgot how insane evolution works as far as athletes go. Expect this to continue. For the time being?! Jordan Davis is a man visiting from another planet. When asked by NFL.com on if Jordan Davis' opinion of if Cereal was a breakfast or soup; Mike Tomlin stated that he was in the Jordan Davis camp regardless.

He is every bit the Top 10 Player I'd knew he be. It will never show on the stat sheet but Jordan Davis is, in my opinion, the rare generational multi role NT ass kicker that every team needs. He is a literal M1A2 Abrams with Hennessey Venom F5 handling; an inhuman combination.

Adding Jalen Carter (boneheaded he may be but talented without question) was simply an ingenious move by Howie Roseman.

Davis really isn't a NT either.... He's more of a DT that is a freak athlete. It was his body type that was coveted when Kenneth Grant and Tyleik Williams were discussed. Dontarri Poe is another. Sometimes guys are just athletic freaks. When people reference NT's, we mean run stopping only, die in the hole plugs. Not massive twitched up 6'6'' 340 lb freaks that can do pretty much anything. Old school NT never saw passing downs. Davis can do it all.

Except coming out, Jordan Davis was widely viewed as an NT. For that matter, sone saw him as a Once in a Generation Type Athlete for the position. You are correct about Dontari Poe.

Kenneth Grant and Tyleik Williams are grear IDLs in their own right; doubly so Granr who was often on Bruce Feldmans Freak List. That said, he is no Jordan Davis. Davis is a truly rare breed of a rare breed of NT for he truly is the first three down NT since the Casey Hampton/Vince Wilfork days; over a generation ago.

Seems like the steelers have the talent and are obviously spending a butt load of money on the defense. So what's the problem? Fire Mike Tomlin Immediately.
