You are the eternal optimist man I’ll give you that. Wish I could live with my head in the clouds.

If you look at the team stats for the first 3 games you would think that we lost all 3 badly.
We've given up 70 first downs and have made only 49.
We've been out rushed by a whopping 418-189 margin.
And we've been out passed by 781-598.
The fact that the Steelers have won 2 of those 3 games is incredible.

I guess the good news is that despite looking like dogshytt they won and are 2-1. This team could easily be 0-3 right now.

3rd down and 4th down defense was atrocious yesterday. Run defense only appeared better because the Pats had a case of fumblitus. There's a ton to work on this week or the Vikings will blow us out of Dublin; however, as the Browns proved against Green Bay, any given Sunday is still in play.

This OLine really needs to get it together. Rodgers had a case of happy feet and was never comfortable yesterday. Sooner the OLine gets it together, the sooner Rodgers will be fine. After the first drive and before the final drive, the Steelers had 69 yards of offense. This isn't sustainable.

I'm happy to be 2-1, but we're in for a long season if our offense and defense doesn't put it together for 60 minutes. We just can't rely on the opposition giving up the ball 5 times a game.

This is what Tomlin does, he gets the other team into an ugly one score rock fight. He likes coaching in games like that and the Steeler players are used to playing in them. That is why he has an incredible record in one score games.

I have no idea what game they were watching, but Rodgers was under pressure plenty of times.

Because so many of the pass attempts was quick screen pass or thing like that.

Not in totality, just by each one of them.

Also good no sacks although that surprised me too, feels like he was.

I appreciate the optimism. We definitely could use a little bit of it with how our defense has played.

    These sound familiar. Not sure if its 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 or 2017?

    Deja Vu?

Tomlin is still here as are his OC/DC/OL retreads.

There is precious little to be excited about in Steelers land.

We're all hostage waiting out Tomlin quitting because no matter how awful the Steelers product, Tomlin is a lifetime, vastly overpaid HC. He only moves on when he quits or retires. It's a sad fact for us in Steelers-land.

Tomlin shouldn't make a penny the next 5 years to pay back Steelers for 10+ years of in competence. If he's gonna stay :puking2:, offer him an extension of $0 over 5 years, and use the savings to upgrade facilities so when they get a real HC later, they'll have a FA bargaining chip.

Atlanta is 1-2 and Steelers 2-1, go figure.

As I said, with Bengals being gutted losing Burrow (and awful D), Tomlin will, maybe, maybe eek out a 9-8 season again.

The way they look right now, I could see a 6-11 record at the end, even losing one to the awful Bengals and Browns.

Wait...what? The 2024 Vikings defense was tied for the league lead in turnovers. Tied with a certain black and gold wearing team.

The mismatch is not really coaching so much as player capabilities. You can torch a Flores defense if you can create enough time and space to get off throws. Flores likes to send a bunch of guys and leave his DBs on islands in coverage. If you can avoid the rush through a combination of OL and QB movement, you can make the DBs pay. Rodgers and the Steelers have no chance to do this.

The DLine was actually one area I wasn't worried about. I've said for weeks that getting Benton out of the middle was key. There was/is reason for optimism with Harmon getting back, Cam getting in game shape and the likes of Black and Ekuale getting snaps over Benton, who should be fine if they leave him at End. If the line improves, that will greatly help the LBs. Once we get some bodies back in the secondary, the entire D should look much better. That doesn't excuse the stale scheme but that's not the unit I'm concerned about, not that it should be with the big names and bigger contracts.

Warren is not the problem for our running game and yes,Harris was also not the problem in the last few years

I agree with all of this. Warren is not the problem, but his low average per carry is showing that Harris wasn't the problem, either.

Warren along with Rodgers will never be able to
Muster a season with the hits they are taking. OL has to step up,
    sooner rather than later.

To be perfectly honest with You, I've seen so far, and it's a short season yet, but I've seen two teams that actually look like SB contenders. Philly, and Detroit, and they have to go through each other , more than likely. Also I seen Detroit go 15-2 last year, and get beat in the 1st playoff game, just like we did.
I can see bad weakness on all the teams. I keep hearing about Ravens, but their freaking D is worse than ours right now. Talk about getting run on, and guys wide open . No way does that D look like it could win 3 games in a row against the top of the NFL, and I'm only using them as a example because I keep hearing how great they are.
