Jack Sawyer's star may is rising.

This rookie is instinctive ( key and diagnose before the snap). He is strong against the run. ( Our front 7 have been pushed around lately ). Jack has great natural stamina and forces his opponent to go all out in every play. This is a reason why he tends to make big plays later in games. A decent pass rusher as well.

    Let the man start.

    Our base D should be:

Front four : Sawyer, Heyward, Black, and Watt. Rotate in the DT's when they get tired. Get well soon, Harmon. Move Benton as a reserve DT.

Middle two: Wilson and Queen ( sub out Queen on passing downs )

Back five: Porter and Slay are the CB's, Ramsey as rover playing the slot. Thornhill and Clark as the safeties.

How? The man has never been known to turn on or carry smart devices. I never saw a PC in his office either. However you have my permission to print this and slip it on his playchart. If he only used one on the sideline...

    ;)

Back to the man named Jack. There have been some great ones from the state of Ohio and Pennsylvania on the Steelers.

He represented well. But for every good play shown you have awful players like Wilson, Queen and Benton.

Holcomb if healthy cause nobody is sure should be playing more to stop the run. Hopefully Bentley can catch on quickly because he could be a force along with Holcomb

I’m not sure you start him, but if he can play stout, then you sub him in situationally.

I like Wilson’s athleticism, but feel he gets taken out of the game as soon as someone puts hands on him.

He should start. Highsmith is hurt (again) and Herbig is meh against the run.

Start Sawyer now. He has a high motor, very intelligent, and is durable. If he shows promise dump China doll Highsmith for draft capital.

No, I am not employed by the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, as a fan who notices things have you ever seen Tomlin with a smart device or on a PC? An answer is requested.

I have seen still shots of the war room on draft day ( several years ), and Tomlin is the only one without a PC or Smartphone. You read that right.

He's not going to start because Herbig is better as a pass rusher.

I get what you're saying but Sawyer was the best defensive player on the best team in the nation last year. The bigger the game and at critical moments he shined in those situations.

But Sawyer isn't a great athlete like a lot of those other pass rushers who win with their quickness and bend, there's a reason he dropped to the fourth round.
