That is an entirely different discussion.

    never-were's you mean.

Name another team (outside of a high school) that would want Meyer, Austin?
Name another team that would applaud the results of Tomlin at his salary (outside of a first-year high-school football program)?

if we don't have Watt-- we cannot even win a game--so he must be doing something.. But he needs to do more..

Season over with and I was right. I didn't see him double teamed or even chipped at all last night. The guy can't even best 1 on 1. Teams dont fear him anymore. He may not be washed but certainly not worth 41 mill per year!

Unless he has a serious injury that they weren’t disclosing, and next year he rebounds?

That is the only way I can justify his contract, otherwise the next few years could be painful to watch him not producing.

The contract is a disaster. They should have traded him. He is barely an average starter at this point.

Well would you look at that… I remember somebody said to trade him years ago and was labeled a troll :whistley:

Because that was years ago, not just this past year. The time to trade him was last offseason.

You also insisted that the team needed Metcalf, and we saw how that immature knucklehead failed when it mattered.

The time to trade him was after his DMVP. We could’ve got a really nice haul. You will say the contract but teams would’ve taken it. It should’ve been done at any point idc I was years early per usual.

Another Tomlin problem with no accountability. I don’t remember him being an issue in Seattle. He’s exactly what we needed at the end with Ben. Big deep threat.

What I never understood was, why was it like an obligation that he was made the top paid guy?

Clearly he wasn't going to be worth that, and as far as I know it's not common to pay for past performance. Seriously I was thinking 28-30 million for those 4 years.

That never made sense to me. Does anybody think another team would've given him $40 million a year at 30?
