    Will we be giving up a 3rd next year for Caleb? ;)

    I would say we trade the 4th round comp pick we get for Justin Fields for Caleb next year.

    Have to save the rest of the picks, so Khan can move up in the draft again and select another LT. :)
    Making it 3 LTs drafted in the 1st round over the last 4 years. HOW MANY OTHER TEAMS CAN SAY THAT???

    I can't stand Caleb, but I really thought he'd be much improved this year. Not so much, if that game was any indication. He missed some wide open guys badly, and he still tries to do too much hero ball.
    I also was on record as saying JJ McCarthy isn't NFL caliber. I still say he doesn't really have an NFL arm, but he's sure has that "it" factor in him. That was a hell of a bounce back after that terrible pick 6, especially for a road game in a tough environment.

    The Bears are still the Bears and it didn't help that they were without 2 starting DBs.

    Caleb's USC shortcomings have followed him into the NFL. This however, should surprise no one for while the Media was hyping him up to be this next big thing, I gave serious pause. For that matter, this is what I wrote about him during my own 2024 Top 32 Write Up;

    His Hero Ball playstyle still concerns me greatly but the talent is very much there.

    Hiring Ben Johnson should have solved this issue. Rather, it still could potentially be solved. That said, given how reliant Caleb is on his talent as opposed to the fundamentals, I seriously doubt he will ever change. Therefore, his ceiling will consistently be capped as a result.

    It's the same as a lot of people said about Baker Mayfield. And he did cost his team early in his career playing hero ball. He seems to have overcome that lately. Maybe Caleb will as well.

    Except Bakers issues were not always Hero Ball related. Bakers issues stemmed from a lack of maturity. As far as Bakers mechanics and basics?! There were little concerns about him coming out of Oklahoma.

    Caleb is the exact opposite; superior talent but inferior mechanics. That said, too early to give up on him so soon. Caleb has to hone his mechanics and basics. Otherwise he stands no chance.
