Do you trust Friermuth as target # 2?

I think it all depends on how well Muth does this year if they sign him or not. Arthur Smith likes to throw to his TE's, so Smith just might be what Muth ordered. I'm sure he'll get a lot more targets with DJ being gone, so he could end up having a really good year. Guess we'll have to wait and see

Muth is a tad injury prone and the #3 receiver on the Steelers. He is a top 12-16 TE for now who was never had a good QB.

I personally think he is the most overrated Steeler and still wish we had selected Creed Humphrey.

No offense meant towards Zach Frazier.

Zach Frazier's selection is nothing more than an indirect omission of the Front Office for not selecting Creed to begin with. Hell, me and @mac daddyo@mac daddyo wanted Creed or Landon Dickerson in the First Round. Both of us ended up being right in the end.

I don't think it will happen.

I all but guarantee it is going to happen. An underrated subplot of the Offensive Line is the IOL; Left Guard in general. Spencer Anderson isn't it despite having two seasons registered on the inside. He actually looked a lot better last season than this one. Dunno what happened to him but this pre season was by far his worst showing.

Once Isaac goes, it is very possible Pittsburgh is drafting IOL in Rounds 3 or 4. As far as my early season favorites?! Ar'maj Reed-Adams from Texas A&M and Roderick Kearney from the University of Florida would be my top two at present. I know I am missing others but these two stick out in a big way.

Add me to the list of posters who wanted Creed, though I wanted him over Freiermuth in the second round. The pick of Frazier is an admission that the team screwed up in passing on Creed.

I think he is overrated. People want him to be second coming of Heath Miller, but he is no Heath. He has fumbled at critical juncture. He doesn’t have the best hands and on many occasions he has been stopped short of first down by a yard because a smaller db tackled him. The less said about his blocking the better.

he does not need to be #2 - this is a trap question, IMO. Jonnu will spell him, AROD will make playmakers out of our receivers, more than our QB's did last year.

PROVIDED we can move the chains and run the ball some.....

And Steelers are still paying him 12 mil/yr. You talk about being fleeced.

Putting Muth and Jonnu out there together is going to create a lot of mismatches.

Muth, Jonnu, and Washington in redzone especially inside 10 can be great for us. Mis match city.

I stayed away from Steelers TE in fantasy too many mouths to feed.

Something's gotta give because Smith, Muth, and Austin all played the majority of their snaps from the slot position last season.
The non-use of Washington in the RZ is tragic. I think he has all of two targets in the last two seasons..?

Please give examples of him fumbling at critical times. There was one I remember, late in the tie against the Lions a few years back. Never mind that Mason Rudolph stupidly throwing to him short of the lineup with forced Freiermuth to fight through tacklers just to get to the sideline and stop the clock. That was as much on the quarterback as the receiver.

I'm telling everyone right now, for the millionth time......If....If we can pass well out of that set, we will be hard to defend, and a nightmare for teams trying to find the right line up to stop it.

    I don't remember specific games
Here's one and it didnt take me long to find one. . There have been others and one that happened last year and I can't be bothered to look for it.

Also he turned upfield on the Detroit fumble too early instead of heading to the sideline . Even if he had not fumbled he would have been tackled inbounds. Mason had 8 seconds without a timeout, so obviously he was going to throw to sidelines. That was the play called.

No, this is the same crap they were selling last year to explain why they didn't have a #2 WR in 2024.

I have been fooled about Muth his entire career about him taking the next big step forward and becoming a top 5 TE. I always come away disappointed, that Muth will never be a Top 5 TE in the league for pass catching.

I'm not sure we can pass well out of it, so I'm like You , I have to see. I'm just saying that I have seen teams that can before, and it's hard to defend against it when they can, and it hard to find the right guys to even put out against it.
