    This.

    Payton Wilson seems better equipped to wear the green dot anyhow. Given how he did so at North Carolina State, I didn't think it'd be a problem at the NFL Level. Glad I was wrong.

    Fields has improved every season since his rookie year. Of course last season was shortened but most of his stats were at least respectable. He's most dangerous in the RZ. Add to this the WK1 uncertainties for all teams and I expect a tight game decided by a Boz FG.

    he mightve done well in the red zone last year but his accuracy still has issues and he has trouble moving the chains through the air. His ability to read defenses and his accuracy is just not there. And if you look at his advanced stats his on target percentage still stinks (ability to accurately pass the football on target). He may get better but he needs a good qb coach and lots of practice time (lot of OT) to advance and get better

    'Fields Revenge' sounds like a bad horror sequel. Probably going to be disappointing to watch.:D

    Final score will be something like 9-6. Nothing but field goals.... maybe either Jets or Steelers will luck up with a special teams TD on a punt return.

    This game will be frustrating to watch. I bet Steelers commit 20+ penalties.... OL being twitchy, bunch of illegal formations, chop blocks, some intentional groundings from AR, etc. On the D side... there will be some PIs. Jets offense will probably suck too.

    There are things that Smith did to mask Fields' weaknesses. In the end it will limit his upside. Even if the Steelers had signed him it was going to be a short term deal as a bridge.

    According to reports the Steelers wanted to retain Fields, and settled for old man Rodgers whom the Jets sent packing.

    We open the season vs. Fields. He can't pass for many yards, and has fumbles issues. We know him and have a very good defense. It will be open season on Fields.

    Making him beat us through the air. He can't.

    No reputable source said that the Steelers offered Fields $40M.

    And this from DK puts it matter of factly;

    The Jets offered $40M with $30M guaranteed. The Steelers offer was for $30M with $20M guaranteed. Fields took the extra $10M guaranteed offer. I don't really blame him. On the one hand, what can you buy with $30M you can't buy with $20M? On the other hand, $10M is $10M.

    At least that's how I remember the deal. Been some months though.

    This is correct. Even the posted links say as much but the poster apparently didn't read them.
