This has been stuck in my head. I love the guitar in the verses, and everything about the chorus.

 

Heard this the other day on Sirius, a big hit in the mid 1950's (just about when jeh was retiring). Perez Prado, Cuban born and moved to Mexico City, was labeled "The King of Mambo". The video is a riot with vocal interludes courtesy of The King of Mambo himself but the dude on the trumpet steals the show.

 

Saw them in Philly about 25-30 years ago. Was a great concert but Stipe messed up the words to "End of the World". He stopped and said, "F it, you guys know the words anyway, I'm gonna make sh!t up".

 

I saw them at Duke University in like 84-85. Stipe came out wearing a straight jacket. After thrashing about for a while it came off. He was wearing a white tshirt underneath with
