He was good enough to keep Warren on the bench where he belongs for 3 years

A first rd pick starting over a UDFA isnt the flex you think it is.

But that UDFA was good enough to earn a committee approach and knock that first rd pick from his bell cow roll. Oops.

I agree that I think that Najee is a better back than Warren all around, but I hope Im freaking wrong, and Warren tears it up this year. I want us to be great, and if it's up to me, I want everyone on this team to be awesome.

Wrong, if this is Warren's last year with the Steelers both of them will have played 4 years with the team .

I hope Warren tears it up too which would be good for the team, they picked up his option at over 5 million if Kaleb passes him up I don't think they bring him back next year.

Yep, forgot that because he wasn’t a first rd pick his tender was after 3 years.

They still kept the UDFA over the first rd pick. :taunt:

It isn't likely at all. That he still would have celebrated the holiday doesn't mean he would have gotten hurt. The reality is, you are trying to use that fluke accident as if it somehow makes the narrative you have been pushing for over a year accurate. It does not.

The difference is I'm not going to take it a step further and post a general dig at you. Shrugs.

He had to be gone for Warren to get the starting job, and he is far from a sure thing to keep it from a rookie drafted in the third round.

They kept the younger, cheaper former UDFA with less mileage on him. Funny how you left out those relevant details.

How dare he not be as good as the best running back in the NFL!

I don't need to tear down the guy who is gone to support the guy still on the team.

Well its about 8.5 carries per game (about 11 touches per game), but that's fine. Its better to be unimpressed by someone who does pretty well with 10-12 touches a game, than it is to be unimpressed with someone that does pretty much nothing with 17-18 touches a game. I'd rather try the former out to see if they can do better with an expanded role than keep banging out head against the wall hoping the latter does more.

Its nice that Harris didn't miss time. It was also nice that Harris didn't fumble. Those were the two endearing qualities he had. I'd rather he fumbled more or missed 3-4 games and was a better runner than just been a safe meh back.

Henry will be in the hall of fame and yes he was in a great situation last season but he had also some monster season with the titans too, under the same OC that Harris had last season

Stop to compare Harris with hall of fame running back!

sometimes the coaching staff don't always take the best decision for the team

remember the Browns game(the last game of Matt Canada)when Harris was more often on the field that Warren despite that Warren was much better that Harris in that game

If you could only have 1 RB, I would want Najee over Warren. Both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I think that Najee is more durable (except when it comes to fireworks apparently) and stronger. Warren is faster and has better vision. Najee is a true 3 down back and I have my doubts about Warren being able to do the same. I think that we will see a more shared workload this season so that Warren does not have to be out there as much as Najee was. Nothing wrong with that.

Warren had one long run in his career and hasn't come close to doing that again .
